We are currently looking for a Sr Analyst/Lead Analyst - Applications Development for our Houston, TX or Owensboro, KY office.

This position will provide application software development services and technical support for commercial applications in support of core organizational and business processes. Develop program logic for new applications or code modifications in existing applications. Code, developer test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications. Analyze requirements, maintain, and integrate application components. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented. Provide day-to-day support and participate in on-call support. This includes analyzing new requirements to assist in development of estimates for proposed projects and system requirements. The responsibility also includes collaboration with team members and users to define code requirements or deficiencies. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. Collaborate with vendors, business users, programmers, network administrators, systems analysts and database analysts in resolving problems with software products or systems. Develop and utilize standard templates to document / review technical specifications. Collaborate with business analysts, users, and quality engineers to develop plans to ensure that the solutions perform with high quality.
Essential functions:

Establish and maintain regular communication with IT management, the customer base, and staff regarding pertinent IT activities and services.
Communicate critical events, issues, or concerns to IT management in a proactive or timely manner.
Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade and support IT services and systems. Collaborate with project leaders and project sponsors to report project scope, priority, budget and status.

The Chick-fil-A Tax Department is responsible for tax compliance, technology, special projects, research and audit defense functions for independently-owned franchised restaurants and corporate activities. We exist to provide tax planning, regulatory reporting and consulting to stakeholders, governments, external auditors and business leaders. As we grow in complexity and global footprint, we seek to influence business decisions, reduce tax liability and mitigate risk.

This role will serve the Chick-fil-A Tax Department by enhancing and maintaining the various technology systems used within the Tax Department. The role will be a key stakeholder in various strategic initiatives and will serve as a liaison with internal business partners such as Beyond the Restaurant, Distribution, International, Financial Systems and Digital Transformation. This role is responsible for configuration and maintenance of the ERP Tax Integration with Oracle Fusion Cloud and OneSource Indirect Tax Determination. This individual will be responsible for leveraging new technology tools to solve business problems, analyze and query data sets and evaluate and implement efficiencies in Tax Department processes.

Responsibilities

Support Tax Department by performing the following essential functions:

+ Serve as project lead and project manager for new system implementations and upgrades such as indirect tax compliance, indirect tax determination and income tax system related work

+ Serve as technology liaison with various internal partners for strategic initiatives. Lead the creation and maintenance of the tax systems necessary to ensure proper tax reporting for strategic initiatives (process design, system selection, implementation, user acceptance, training and go-live and post go-live phases).

+ Configure and maintain the ERP Tax Integration with OneSource Indirect Tax Determination. Ensure content updates are applied correctly, troubleshoot tax calculation issues, and ensure that all systems are tested for accuracy and completeness.

+ Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex sales tax concepts and effectively apply knowledge to develop and maintain tax systems and data flow.

+ Identify tax technology needs, including opportunities for process improvements, automation, efficiency gains and application of tax process and technology best practices through the use of existing technology and the implementation of new technology.

+ Works closely with Digital Transformation Team to prototype, develop, regression test and implement tax technology

+ Stay abreast of any regulatory changes on local, state and federal levels which might involve tax system changes

+ Challenge and inspires team members to achieve business and tax results through mentoring and coaching

+ Required to manage more than one complex assignment at once.
