Senior lead systems engineer job description

Red Arch Solutions is looking to add a Lead Systems Engineer for our a new prime contract.

Shall provide overall technical direction and guidance to the ACSS project lead(s). Responsible for leading the engineering of improved and new solutions within the ACSS suite. Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on ACSS capabilities and attend agency and community wide meetings in support of SME role. Interface and collaborate with technical personnel across the FVEY community in the implementation of increased collaboration capabilities.


Qualifications:

• Possess the necessary technical qualifications to deliver all requirements for ACSS to include a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Demonstrated experience defining a long-term technology vision, standards, and multi-year technology vision, standards, and multi-year technology road map and partnering cross functionality on the delivery of architecturally aligned products, services, and platforms.
• A demonstrated working knowledge of public key infrastructure and encryption systems. Familiarization with NIST Special Publication 800-37 Revision 1, Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems", Committee on National Security Systems Instructions (CNSSI) 1253, and NIST SP 800-53 Revisions 3 and 4, SP 800-39, SP 800-30.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 8 - 10 years of professional experience, or Master's degree with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience
• System V&V or I&T experience with flight projects during spacecraft design, assembly, integration, test and launch preparations.
• Demonstrated experience in spacecraft testbed or flight hardware assembly.
• Knowledge of mission scenario development and use in mission scenario testing.
• Knowledge of the function and operation of spacecraft systems and subsystems.
• Experience making technical/risk trades or advising management on such trades.
• Experience with development and delivery of system documentation (requirements, design description documents, test plans, and test reports).
• Availability for occasional travel.

Desired qualifications:

• Demonstrated subject matter expert at the group level or higher in Systems Engineering or V&V and has served as a team lead or CAM in Systems Engineering or V&V with a successful track record for at least one year.
• Proven ability to lead the activities of and to synthesize the unique discipline knowledge of a broad range of technical subject matter experts.
• Experience leading tasks and coordinating working groups on large-scale projects in system development, test, and/or operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with other teams, including external partners, to accomplish your objectives.
• Experience delivering hardware or software to a set schedule and budget.

Colorado Salary Maximum:$177,424.00
