What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical reviews of proposed changes to the NTT environment
Provide technical expertise during high severity incidents
Review Technical Support incidents on a regular basis for completeness and prevention
Provide thought leadership as it relates to in-house suggested improvements, as well as reviewing our 3rd party's recommendations
Participate in all Mainframe related projects (upgrades, migrations, etc.)
Provide technical support to the NTT Security Team.
Maintain BCDR documentation for the Mainframe platforms
Knowledge and Attributes:
Advanced problem determination skills
Mainframe processor and storage hardware knowledge
Mainframe disaster recovery expertise
Mainframe data backup/replication skills
Knowledgeable TCP/IP architecture and communications hardware
SMS pool setup and management experience
Experience with performance analysis and performance problem determination skills
In depth knowledge of systems architecture, internal processes, and interdependencies
Excellent customer-facing skills. (At a technical and layman's level).
Proficiency in supporting z/OS, JES2, CICS or RACF is a plus
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
· Typically requires 10+ years relevant experience.
· Undergraduate/bachelor's degree
Required Experience:
Requires 10+ years' experience/proficiency with Mainframe DB2 Systems software
Experience installing DB2 using SMP/E
Installation, customization, testing, and maintenance for DB2
Installation, customization, testing, and maintenance for IBM/ISV program products
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Project management experience and leadership skills
Requires 10 years of experience in DB2 performance and tuning
