This job will lead customer transportation requirements by assuring prompt and courteous handling of customer inquiries and problems and coordinate resolution with transportation personnel to meet customer needs! It is important in this position to accurately document shipment movement and maintain customer correspondence and record files.

The Senior Domestic Logistics Specialist is responsible for acting as key point of contact for carriers when optimizing the configuration of loads from all Academy Sports + Outdoors vendors and distribution centers on a daily basis. By leveraging the Transportation Management System, this includes analyzing the best approach to maximize trailer utilization, communication with carriers, DC personnel, and internal Academy Sports + Outdoors team members while support service level agreements and meeting key performance indicators. Education:

KBR is seeking a **Senior Logistics Specialist** to join our Team. This position will support Product Manager Sets Kits, Outfits, and Tools (PdM SKOT) Logistics Support in our Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan location.

PdM SKOT provides the Army and Joint Services oversight of the life cycle for all sets, kits, outfits and tools (SKOTs) and provides state of the art, deployable, vehicle-mounted, containerized shelter, and Soldier portable tool systems to support the Joint Warfighter. In support of this mission, PdM SKOT requires contractor support to provide logistics and fielding support services.

+ Develops, coordinates, and maintains logistics support policies, procedures, and directives which document the methods, techniques, programs, plans and processes required.

+ Develops integrated logistics support plans which address all the principal elements of total life-cycle planning for assigned program, including maintenance plans, manpower and personnel, training and training devices, support equipment and TMDE, supply support, technical data, computer resources support, packaging, handling and storage, transportation and transportability. Monitors the logistics support analysis program to assure definition of support criteria and identification of support systems requirements. Monitors program execution to assure accomplishment of objectives and goals in accordance with milestones. Coordinates with technical specialists to develop corrective actions. Recommends approach to resolve procedural problems. Assures that corrective actions are implemented. Serves as a Logistics Management Specialists, responsible for exercising expert logistics knowledge and skills to plan and accomplish projects relative to Logistics and Fleet Management functions. Coordinates the integration of all logistics activities including the development of a maintenance concept, supply strategy, training, fielding plans and publications.

+ Establish and chair logistics meetings, maintain action item list, meeting minutes, attendance rosters, and monitor progress. Analyzes performance in light of internally established goals, in order to determine the extent to which accomplishments measure up to requirements and expectations. Participates as an ILS representative at meetings to provide information on ILS objectives for assigned materiel programs. Maintains liaison with personnel of other agencies; i.e., Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), AMC, HQDA, proponent schools, private industry partners, and other commands having system related responsibilities. Coordinates with other organizations in areas of ILS planning, execution and problem-resolution as necessary for assigned programs.

+ Continuingly, analyzes, and interprets policy and guidance material emanating from higher echelons.

+ Reviews logistic support requirements for input to documentation for development and production phases. Provisioning, Repair Parts Special Tools List (RPSTL), Logistics Demonstration, ETMs responsibility for assigned weapon systems/equipment.

+ Develops logistic plans to assure integration of various logistic functions in support of assigned systems/vehicles/projects. Assures execution of plans with responsibility for integration of all functions and special emphasis in the areas of supply and maintenance programs and plans. Identifies new program requirements and provides for the development of plans for integration with current mission. Evaluates and coordinates effort of functional specialist to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules to meet each requirement as scheduled. Evaluates accomplishments to determine mission objectives.

+ Anticipate delays and problems areas, evaluate problems and recommends/initiates corrective actions to include tasking and evaluating support of various functional areas (e.g., engineering, procurement, product assurance, supply and maintenance). Initiates corrective actions as required.

+ Analyzes fleet assets against authorizations to determine and verify requirements.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors Degree plus a minimum of 10 years related experience in the logistics field. Related experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

+ Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).

+ Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of provisioning and logistics data management in a weapon system setting that covers the full spectrum of individual equipment logistics data management as well as the next two to three levels of higher sophistication and integrated data components.

+ Must have a firm grasp of existing quantitative and qualitative methods in assembling, managing and employing weapon systems data and have a full understanding of the effect that logistics data has on the organizations enterprise structure and interrelationships throughout the life cycle of a weapon system.

+ Must have good writing skills

+ Must have ability to use MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, databases).

+ Must have good problem-solving skills.

+ Must have customer service.
