Role: The Director of Business Strategy is a builder at heart - someone who has taken small businesses or startups from messy, ambiguous beginnings to real, sustainable scale. You've either done it from the inside as an operator or alongside founders as a consultant, advisor, or agency lead. In this role, you'll work directly with founders to figure out what's really holding their business back - and what to do about it. You'll come into each workshop with a clear hypothesis, pressure-test it live with the client, and walk away with a focused game plan to grow their business. You'll also help turn those insights into repeatable frameworks and tools we can use across our portfolio and clientele. Here's what you'll actually do: Apply our framework to break down businesses quickly and clearly. Review pre-work to identify key constraints and potential action steps. Lead consulting sessions at live workshops with real businesses in real time. Build and maintain relationships with client companies throughout their journey with us. Work with our internal team to turn your learnings into assets that scale (playbooks, templates, etc.). Responsibilities Develop a rapid growth strategy for attending businesses-identifying constraints, determining solutions, and breaking those solutions down into tactical steps Lead roundtable discussions with groups of attending businesses, including ‘spotlighting' businesses for live problem-solving Present solutions, frameworks, and playbooks during our workshops to guests and collaborate with the team in the creation and iteration of those assets and our growing knowledge base Maintain professional client relationships, answer questions, and serve as a trusted partner and subject matter expert for workshop participants. Identifies and proposes solid solutions to constructability issues. Reports weekly on project status. Maintains a complete understanding of the current status of the assigned project and organization, contributing to the growth and success of the business. Performs other related duties as required or directed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management. High degree of Division 6, 10, 12, 32 construction knowledge and analytical skills preferred. Strong ability to read and understand project plans and specifications. Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive demand strategies and digital account-based marketing activations aligned with organizational goals. Manage and scale digital webinars program across the security portfolio. Implement process improvements to assist other departments for visibility. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors and partners. Manage and balance budget submissions. Analyze performance of each channel to optimize and rebalance investments across channels. Understand and analyze pipeline metrics to determine effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 10 + years of proven experience in demand generation. digital marketing, or related roles. Experience managing a team of direct reports. Tech industry experience required for consideration. Experience managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets. Strong knowledge of digital platforms and proficiency in digital tactics, including account-based marketing tools, paid media, and email marketing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present for executive audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making and proficiency in marketing analytics tools. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience leading social teams, building demand strategies, and executing on campaign strategies. Experience in B2B marketing or in the technology/software industry is required. Preferred Experience working within the security and/or cybersecurity industry. Experience running ABM programs and working with tools such as 6sense. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Tableau, and Salesforce). Why Cisco? U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies: * 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees * 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco * Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees * Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations) * 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next * Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members * Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: * .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; * 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; * 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and * Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $196,000.00 - $284,100.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $174,000.00 - $252,100.00 * For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
