Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Will You Do?
Scope:
Responsible for leading an architecture team within Bond and Specialty Insurance division.
Define and execute the strategic architecture roadmap for platform modernization of Management Liability and Cyber products.
Drive a cohesive domain architecture and integration strategy (for APIs, Events, Agents) across Product, Underwriting and Pricing domains.
Technical Execution:
Define target state technology architecture and roadmaps.
Ensure alignment of initiatives to target state, enterprise standards and business objectives.
Identify opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterprise.
Define and lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of new technology architecture solutions.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Technical Expertise & Education: Bachelor's in technology related field or equivalent, with 6 to 8 years of architecture experience.
Strong architecture and recent hands‑on engineering experience with modern technologies like Guidewire, AWS Cloud and Microservice‑based architecture.
Successfully architected large scale technology initiatives.
Leadership & Influence: Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to influence executive and organizational decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience mentoring technology architects and engineers, as well as leading and managing technology teams to achieve strategic outcomes. Manages the bank's community giving efforts and represents the bank at various community events and associations.
Oversees, retains, develops, and directs the Marketing and Business Development teams to ensure they are delivering on the bank strategies and expected service levels.
Evaluates and recommends the appropriate staffing needs of the department. Ensures that all employee performance appraisals are completed and administered in a timely manner, including goal setting, providing constructive feedback in a professional manner, and developing a career path for each individual. Recommends, documents, and administers employee counseling and disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources.
