Job Description: The experienced Production Supervisor is a critical position within our Plant Operations. The right candidate will possess strong leadership skills to coach, mentor, and motivate their team while determining the best practices and implementing best practices on the shift. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground, engaging, and involved leadership role. The Production Supervisor will lead by example and ensure to hit targets (in order of priority) in safety, quality, service, cost, and production. Problem-solving skills will be key in this role!
Key Responsibilities of the position:
Direct supervision of daily operations such as staffing, quality control, and schedule adherence
Hold the team accountable for following established procedures and conforming to conduct standards.
Be an enabler for the team to drive process improvements. Ensure effective employee relations
Balance quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results in all areas
Responsible for the effective training, qualification, proficiency, and overall performance management of employees
Build a team that is dedicated and committed to excellence, with open communication, where all team members have a voice
Identify opportunities for improvements and speak up on the challenges and opportunities

Approximately 3-5+ years of production experience in manufacturing roles, having direct reports and shop floor accountability
Experience with scrap management, safety behaviors, and quality controls increasing site efficiency, employee engagement, and turnover reduction
Strong leadership skills, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and the ability to establish priorities with a sense of urgency
Familiar with workforce scheduling, overtime management, and other labor deployment practices
Excellent multi-tasking skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with multiple deadlines, demonstrating an ability to prioritize between what is urgent and what is important
Hands-on experience working in a lean manufacturing plant (5S, tier meetings, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, Gemba walk, lead standard work) is a plus
Results-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver information, whether good or bad.
Associate degree or higher preferred but not required
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to complete required daily and monthly reports on attendance, machine efficiency, scrap, process improvement, etc. (ERP/SAP experience is a plus!)

The compensation for this position will typically range from $66,000-$107,000. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
