Principal Responsibilities
Assist in designing discipline-specific systems per code and IMEG standards;
Research commercially available equipment;
Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and prepare permanent record documentation;

Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while tracking progress;
Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final checks;
Prepare and issue addendum information;

Required Qualifications and Skills
Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required;
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred;
Strong interest in design consulting;
Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook;
Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software;
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for designing complex general aviation structures and systems on production and development aircraft. They will also train and mentor junior engineers in design work and have overall responsibility for compliance to company, industry, and regulatory standards. Issuing Minor Change documentation.
Collaborating with the Aircraft Certification Office (ACO) on major change approvals and monitor and provide regular status on progress to Lead and Principal Engineers.

Working with FAA and foreign regulators on type certificate validations.

Minimum requirements:
