Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Reliability Improvement · Lead and facilitate RCAs for major equipment failures, chronic issues, utility outages, or safety/environmental incidents. · Use structured RCA tools (5-Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Fault-Tree, etc.). · Develop corrective actions, reliability improvements, and long-term engineering solutions. · Track and report failure trends, MTBF/MTTR, and key reliability KPIs. · Partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness. The Product Engineering Lead has the following main areas of responsibility: Drive and support execution of team's projects in all areas: Mentor on and lead implementation of lean manufacturing processes Advocate for design for manufacturability on development programs Support risk assessments and mitigation plans, TDP reviews, design reviews, bid and proposal activities, problem solving and failure investigations Complete ownership of technical aspects of product lines assigned Work with the production team to assign and prioritize work Drive continuous improvement activities including lean cell conversion, SPC implementation and SMED Support customer interface activities, problem resolution, and employee relations Manage and grow your team's talent and capabilities to align with current and future company needs Facilitate a successful team-based organization Requirements: BS/MS in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing or project experience required, 10 or more years' experience preferred Fundamental knowledge of root cause/corrective and preventative action and the ability to walk project teams and customers through the analysis Problem solving/root cause analysis, leadership of multi-function technical teams, project management, technical writing and cost estimating experience Background in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement and strong problem solving skills. Knowledge of explosive material ordnance devices and/or missile/launch vehicle systems as well as experience with developing manufacturing processes is beneficial. Must have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance and be capable of working on U.S. DoD and ITAR restricted products. Job Purpose: Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes and systems that optimize production while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness. Support technical problem-solving and coordinate new process implementation using Lean Manufacturing principles. Key Responsibilities: Manage manufacturing launch for new/revised products Create and update BOMs and routings in production systems Design manufacturing processes and equipment to improve capability and quality Create / update manufacturing instructions as designs are improved Develop and test tools and machinery for improved manufacturing methods Solve production workflow issues (bottlenecks, machine reliability, waste reduction) Prepare facility/equipment layouts using CAD software Provide technical guidance for manufacturing activities Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and global teams Prepare feasibility studies and cost justifications Monitor production and implement efficiency improvements Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering preferred) Knowledge of machine design, welding, and special processes Strong leadership skills and self-motivation Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation ability Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Creo a plus) and MS Office Strong Tooling and Fixture design Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years manufacturing experience Lean Manufacturing experience or certification Oil & Gas industry experience Understanding of GD&T and dimensioning Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: #LI-KP1
