  • Sr. Mechanical Engineer

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs and develops solutions to modify OEM equipment for the secure computing marketplace in order to meet essential EMI requirements in accordance with the product development lifecycle. Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying system requirements, conducting trade studies, performing engineering analyses, designing components using solid mechanical engineering principles, managing the integration and test of prototypes, and supporting production. Designs quality mechanical components and assemblies, using 3D modeling techniques, in a proficient manner in order to maintain schedule objectives. Generates necessary documentation packages (specifications, drawings, BOMs, etc.) to facilitate accurate and quality production builds. Supports Manufacturing by developing the appropriate processes, tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve production and increase quality. Conducts thorough root cause analyses to evaluate issues in order to implement corrective actions and resolutions in a timely manner. Works effectively with other department functions, specifically Purchasing, Production and Quality, to ensure a smooth transition from product design to production. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or training courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
