Essential Responsibilities:
An Aerospace Systems & Defense intern/co-op may experience work in the development of engine controls, navigation, & guidance systems; gas turbine engine components; electrical power systems; mechanical systems; vehicle health & data management systems; mission systems; computing systems; and platform systems integration. Responsibilities may include design, analysis, development, and testing, writing software requirements, software testing, simulation, tool development and product/program support.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Due to the nature of our projects, US Citizenship is required.
* Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.
* Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in engineering (degrees accepted: MechanicalEngineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering).
* Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primary locations are: Grand Rapids, MI.
* Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available.

Working Environment
Most of this role is performed in a professional temperature-controlled office environment when not working from a home office, remotely, or onsite at a project location.
Additionally, this role is required to attend site visits. During site visits, there may be exposure to a variety of environmental conditions, such as being outdoors, being in indoor non-temperature-controlled environments, and maneuvering into tight spaces to scan existing electrical power and lighting systems. During site visits, you will work long days (10-12 hours) to complete 3d scanning jobs at client locations. These are typically week-long trips and happen 3- 4x per calendar year.
