ROLE of the POSITION
The MechanicalEngineer serves the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus by acting as the steward of the Building Automations, HVAC, Plumbing, and Energy systems. The MechanicalEngineer will play a key role in the university by developing novel ideas for realistic designs and maintenance plans in MechanicalEngineering for the Facilities Management department. They will also oversee the HVAC and Building Automation System shops.
The MechanicalEngineer is responsible for managing and developing strong professional relationships by providing professional design, planning, and construction services to the administration, faculty, staff, and 3rd-party contractors. The person in this position must be able to manage and coordinate multiple projects and assignments of various scopes and sizes in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboration with other engineers, architects, contractors, vendors, government, directors and craft foremen; compile and summarize information for future policies reporting needs, presentations, planning facility renovations, access to prints and drawing and prepare correspondence, periodic or special reports related to assignments; and contribute effectively to the accomplishment of the team or agency goals, objectives, and activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Due to the nature of this position, work on weekends and extended work hours may be required to meet the operational needs of the University. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Senior mechanical engineer job in Las Vegas, NV
The Korte Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our team in Las Vegas, NV to work within our Project Management Group. This position will be responsible for collaboration with our Project Managers to help facilitate all aspects of our project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with creation of the master project schedule, while incorporating design, submittals, fabrication and construction activities
Facilitate flow of information among Owners, Designers, Preconstruction, Quality Assurance, Subcontractors/Suppliers and Field divisions
Assist Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings
Read and interpret contracts, terms, provisions, estimates, agreements, set up sheets, reports, specifications and plans to determine processing and completion procedures
Work with Project Manager to set schedules and expedite the submittal review/approval process
Create, manage, process and log RFIs and submittals
Track potential changes through the request for change (RFC) system
Identify and document close-out procedures including a checklist
Prepare and provide owner with warranty letters, maintenance and operation manuals
Travel to jobsites approximately once per month
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience with P6 is preferred
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
Qualified applicants will have:
Degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, Architecture, Civil or other related Engineering field
2 years experience in similar role is required
