Perform complete mechanical design, including layout, part/assembly modeling, drawings, and mechanical requirements definition.

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer II, Finishing will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving a variety of finishing processes at SIG SAUER's firearm facilities. Emphasis will be placed on vibratory, media, robotic abrasive sanding, laser ablating of precision CNC machined components, and machining and assembly of precision firearm components utilizing clearly defined technical drawings and interchangeable parts. Plan, design, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing firearm product designs while providing budgetary estimates for equipment, tools, gages, and production rate.
Use project management techniques to procure tooling and equipment for new products to meet launch timelines and cost targets.
Identify areas for improvement and conduct formal cost savings analysis using established procedures.
