Responsibilities

Understand potential chemical reactions and chemical compatibilities for new and existing processes
Develop and execute tooling design, build, and maintenance plans
Working knowledge of basic automated manufacturing machine elements including pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC's, switches, etc.
Estimate costs, obtain quotes, and present recommendations for process and facilities equipment and construction projects. Prepare related project documents, including RFQ (requests for quotes), quote comparisons, PRA (purchase request authorization), purchase contracts, Gantt charts, and others as required.
Prioritize project requests with manufacturing leadership and other internal customers. Coordinate execution of projects with Maintenance and Production teams.
Write standard work for processes and set target production rates
Apply lean and continuous improvement management principles throughout the department's daily activities

Assist with development and management of an engineering documentation standard.
Be a technical advisor inside and outside the company for mechanical systems. This will require study of code publications and performance of calculations.
Perform consultation sales support and project support including travel with occasional overnight stays.
Analyze pictures, drawings, specifications, project requirements, client needs, etc. in an engineering capacity to prepare solutions and estimates for projects.
Provide customers with solutions for performance enhancement and proactive resolution of issues. Assist with development of solutions and presentation of proposals to customers. Evaluate cost effectiveness, return on investment calculations, pictures, drawings, specifications, duct and line sizing, equipment sizing, site review and other documents.
Solicit support and communicate effectively with other departments to deepen internal and customer relationships. Maintain excellent relationships with field personnel.
Maintain project engineering document control (Job File), including:

Ensure compliance with company standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements.
Inspect customer facilities and determine solutions to fit customers needs. Primarily, inspections will involve Boiler room equipment, HVACR, Chillers, hydronic systems, ductwork and air handling systems.
Work with project management to determine manpower and material requirements for projects based on the complexity of the work relative to the capabilities of available field personnel and the planned or promised completion time.
Solicit quotes from, issue purchase orders to, and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors.
Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure their needs are being met throughout the project. Follow up after projects to ensure satisfactory completion of work and ask for additional work and referrals.

Develop relationships with engineers and general contractors to partner with our company on projects.

Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
Professional and industry-specific certifications and licenses.
Experience:
