The Team: As a whole, the Amazon Annapurna Labs team is responsible for silicon development at AWS. The team covers multiple disciplines including silicon engineering, hardware design and verification, software and operations.
The AWS Neuron team works to optimize the performance of complex neural net models on our custom-built AWS hardware. More specifically, the AWS Neuron team is developing a deep learning compiler stack that takes neural network descriptions created in frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNET, and converts them into code suitable for execution. As you might expect, the team is comprised of some of the brightest minds in the engineering, research, and product communities, focused on the ambitious goal of creating a toolchain that will provide a quantum leap in performance.
You: As a Sr. Machine Learning Compiler Engineer III on the AWS Neuron team, you will be a thought leader supporting the ground-up development and scaling of a compiler to handle the world's largest ML workloads. Architecting and implementing business-critical features, publish cutting-edge research, and mentoring a brilliant team of experienced engineers excites and challenges you. Staff Engineer

This will include all phases of projects from developing proposals to assembling calculation packages, plan set drawings, facilitating city and county permitting, and performing site visits to projects under active construction. Also included within the scope of work are on-site structural evaluations and consultations to first time clients. Specific examples of tasks that should be expected in the role of Staff Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Respond to requests for proposals with methodologies consistent with haushepherd's standard guidelines, marketing principals, and curated materials;
· Fulfill design projects within the civil/structural/geotechnical space by developing deliverables for clients, obtaining permits, and supporting construction;
· Conduct general consulting, initial on-site assessments, and construction observation for haushepherd projects;
· Perform a limited number of foundation and drainage assessments for homeowners and real estate transactions; and

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a few years of relevant work experience; however, recent college graduates from Civil Engineering or similar programs will also be considered but will be expected to have their FE/EIT certification. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
· This position regularly requires long hours and must be willing to work weekends and evenings as driven by the project schedule.

· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Travel
· Travel is primarily local during the business day.
Required Education
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a Construction Management Certificate from an accredited university.
· 4 years of construction experience
· Entry level or 2 years of experience, including internships.
Knowledge of:
· Schematics, blueprints and drawings
· Schedules
· RFI, Submittals, Punch lists
· Estimating concepts and budgets
· Interpreting oral and written instructions
· Developed skills in applicable computer programs including (Word, Excel, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore etc.), or other specialized software utilized for construction management.
· Clear oral and written communications business skills
· Professional working relationships with co-workers, business partners and subcontractors
· Adjusting and willingness to changing priorities from various directives

Project Engineer
Senior mechanical engineer job in Santa Rosa, CA
Reports to Project Manager or designated Deputy Project Manager.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
Distribute revised drawings and changes to subcontractors.
Prepare change orders and track return of subcontractor pricing for Project Manager review.
Coordinate with project team to ensure a timely project close out.
Print and perform minor schedule updates.
Gain knowledge of milestone completion dates to ensure that submittal deadlines are met.
Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain submittal documentation and material lead time data.
Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the PM or Deputy PM, required of a Project Engineer experienced with heavy civil construction projects.
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years construction industry experience, preferably experience with self-performed work in the heavy civil sector (bridge, highway, tunnel, and similar infrastructure).
Employee must be self-motivated, supportive, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
Must be able to work late hours and have flexibility during peak project demands or critical operations.
Must be responsive to calls, texts, and emails.
Working knowledge of construction documentation, cost control, schedule, and labor management.
Working knowledge of company software programs, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
Ability to independently organize work assignments and meet critical deadlines.
Comfortable and eager to lead a team of junior engineers, field engineers, interns, and others less experienced in the construction industry.
Excellent editing, proofreading and writing skills.
Must like working in a fast-paced environment.
Be innovative and resourceful.
