The Senior Digital Merchandiser is responsible for the performance of a product category or categories within the Victoria's Secret business on the Victoria's Secret website. This includes setting a floor plan that represents the Victoria's Secret brand, is aligned with the business' overall merchandise strategies and delivers and exceeds the budgeted volume and profit goals.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for the overall digital presentation of a specific category portion of the site by merchandising, analyzing and optimizing a seamless customer experience to achieve financial objectives
* Develop seasonal site strategy plan based on brand direction, incoming product assortment, internal learnings and competitive patterning
* Manage in-season business by tracking and analyzing sales information and web KPI's in order to identify opportunities to increase sales and site conversion, including: Landing Page feature and cue changes and revising online merchandising strategies based on trend, changing navigation, and executing category offers
* Report out on digital store business to leadership and cross-functional partners on performance based upon sales and site metric information and makes recommendations and decisions based on results
* Implement compelling merchandising, product placement and navigation strategies to drive product conversion
* Act as an active participant in the alignment of product photography, copy strategies and digital marketing
* Partner with Merchandising and Planning to develop merchandising calendar for Website Home and Landing Pages, distortions, navigation, special initiatives, item image /copy strategy etc.
* Work closely with Web Creative team to develop landing page layouts, special shop concepts/ideas, navigation (shop by feature, shop by style, shop by collection) to support category initiatives and strategies
* Create and present seasonal web hindsight document for the category; analyze user behavior, site metrics and relates findings to sales/site performance; present recommended strategies for next year based upon findings
* Strategize new ways of executing category offers, cross-sell/up-sell strategies to drive volume
* Pattern other web sites, comparing product and functionality to our site and serve as key liaison between the business and technical teams to implement new site functionalities and enhancements
* Understand content management system and its merchandising ability and potential; able to mine for new merchandising opportunities using content management functionality
* Lead, coach and develop a team of associate and/or assistant merchandisers

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/CAPABILITIES:

* Bachelor's degree required
* 7-10 years of related work experience in Merchandising in a digital/internet-based position
* Strategic and analytical thinker with an ability to take data and transform into future strategies
* Ability to analyze and synthesize information, conclusions and recommend actions

General Function:

The Senior Site Merchandiser will develop, own and lead the strategic ecommerce merchandising function to maximize consumer experience and drive revenue growth for the brand.

Primary Duties:

* Present a compelling product story online to maximize revenue and conversion.
* Partner with ecommerce buyer, ecommerce planners, content manager, brand marketing and product development teams to plan and execute seasonal marketing features based on key brand stories, seasonality, forecasts, selling trends and available inventory.
* Own and determine the strategy for site taxonomy and style categorization to facilitate product browsing and conversion.
* Provide ongoing leadership in the area of seasonal merchandising plans to create a compelling consumer experience and to effectively present product stories in an integrated manner across all ecommerce touch points (site, email, social, display etc.).
* Recommend and drives seasonal promotional plans to maximize revenue and achieve gross margin targets, in direct partnership with buying and planning.
* Use reporting web analytics tools such as Tableau, Google Analytics and Contentsquare to create new reports, analyze data, and make appropriate recommendations for experience and product presentation performance. Provide summary of findings to senior leadership members.
* Identify and propose optimization projects. Drive A/B testing to optimize conversion performance. Identifies business needs, leads researching the marketplace and competitive set for best practices, trends, new ideas and actions to be taken related to the online consumer shopping experience and site presentation.
* Provide ongoing leadership and troubleshooting support for other team members.
* Develop long term product cross sell and upsell strategies.
* Develop deep understanding of profitability drivers by category, and by fulfillment channel, leveraging site experience and frequency fulfillment to drive sustainable growth.
* Performs duties consistent with the Company's AAP/EEO goals and policies.
* Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Merchandising, or Mathematics background
* 6-8 years of online merchandising experience, preferably in a direct-to-consumer environment, including experience working with both buying and/or planning as well as site merchandising
* Experience with web technology platforms and content management systems
* Exceptional quantitative/analytical skills necessary
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills; Ability to present to Sr. Leadership and tailor presentation to audience
* Ability to work at both the strategic and tactical levels
* Excellent understanding and passion for websites, UI and Visual Site Merchandising
* Strong product knowledge of footwear & apparel required
* Proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint - advanced Excel skills preferred
* Ability to analyze and synthesize data, to make data-based decisions and recommendations
* Ability to influence others of all levels including executive leaders within eCommerce, brand, and cross-functional teams

WORKING CONDITIONS
