    Senior Software Developer Summary Description: The Senior Software Developer is a member of our client's development team. Representative Duties: Design and deliver compelling, end-to-end user experience solutions for multiple products and platforms, from assessing and defining customer needs to delivering concepts, prioritizing features, presenting and evaluating prototypes, to validating user experience feedback. Develop site maps, navigation maps, page flows, sketches, conceptual designs, storyboards, usage scenarios, wireframes and prototypes. Translate business requirements into development activities and work with stakeholders to clarify requirements. Create and document system designs using standard software design patterns. Implement high quality, secure and maintainable code that conforms to our company's coding standards. Develop applications using standard software design patterns and best practices. Coordinate with other teams to facilitate the build, deployment, configuration and support of applications. Provide technical leadership within the development team with ability to perform peer code reviews. Test and debug applications using both coded and manually executed test cases. Clearly communicate status and open issues to team and manager. Provide technical leadership and work effectively within a collaborative team environment to implement projects in a timely manner. Follow a user-centered design process, understanding real users - their goals, aptitudes, experiences, needs, and motivations. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline, or additional experience may be substituted for the degree. Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Software Developer or Software Engineer. Experience with .NET highly desired. 2+ years' experience in web frameworks and technologies, React.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS. 2+ years' experience with Node.js. Experience with ELK stacks a big plus. Knowledge of deployments with Jenkins and Docker. Experience working with and extending CMS applications (e.g. Sitecore, Mura) is a big plus. Experience with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle or SQL server) and SQL syntax is required. Experience working in an Agile development environment preferred. Familiarity with application development on Windows and Linux environment is preferred Previous experience working in the health care industry, specifically HMO, is a plus. For further information, please visit ******************* The Role: The main responsibilities: Working in a multi-disciplinary team with system architects, software and FPGA and hardware engineers Implement and debug embedded software modules/libraries from a list of requirements given an architecture and guidelines Comply with processes and coding rules agreed upon by the team Participate in design reviews and code reviews In-lab testing of developed new software components Software development to include design, implement, test, debug, QA support, and release. Estimate tasks and strive to meet commitments Collaborate closely with FPGA developers and system architect Document work Design embedded software components using commonly known software concepts Use, contribute and maintain deployment and build systems Contribute to design reviews and code reviews Document APIs and write guides/tutorials (wiki) on how to use solutions Support the test and QA engineers Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to remotely troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. Help associate embedded software developers Preferred qualifications: B.S. degree in Electrical/Software/Computer engineering or equivalent experience Understanding of fundamental software design patterns, including but not limited to Singleton, Factory, and Adapter, with the ability to apply them effectively in engineering solutions Know your way into Linux (bash, configuration, …) Knowledge of Linux and Windows based platforms and embedded Linux control systems Experience with virtual machines on VMWare or VirtualBox Intermediate knowledge of C and C++ and object oriented programming Experience with x86 and ARM processors in real-time multi-threaded embedded Linux applications Experience with Eclipse IDE and Visual Studio IDE for cross development compile and debug Knowledge of embedded control protocols (I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB) and TCP/IP protocols. Experience with broadcast video, signaling, and SMPTE standards.
