About the role:
As Skydio brings drones to the portfolio of modern infrastructure, many of our customers require installation and management of their drone docking stations on private or secure networks. Skydio sells a self-hosted version of the cloud offering that customers can install on their own hardware.
This is a customer-facing role where you'll be directly involved, helping customers learn to fly for the first time, manage their new software stack, integrate the stack with the rest of their ecosystem, and support them when they run into issues. You'll be providing support remotely or in-person, and should expect to travel about 40% of the time.
We are looking for a scrappy and resourceful expert in Linux systems, networking, and enough familiarity with coding to put together basic integrations between RESTful services. As the first hire for a new role, you will be instrumental in setting the tone and path for how Skydio will manage on-prem customers working out of some of the most secure facilities in the world. While your primary goal is ensuring our product is working well for our customers, you'll also be a member of the product team, suggesting and making enduring improvements to the product ecosystem as you identify flaws or opportunities.
We are looking for you to be a linux system expert for the deployment engineering team. The deployment engineering team primarily focuses on being deep experts in UAS systems and wireless technologies, and you'll be a crucial value-add to the team's ability to communicate and work with our customer's IT teams as we navigate corporate firewalls and infosec policies.
How you'll make an impact:
Support Skydio customers with our self-hosted products.
Assist the customer in planning and writing integrations between their internal systems and our drone management software.
Debug and troubleshoot outages, wherever and whenever they occur.
Build out our on-prem lab in California, including organizing the hardware, building trial-and-evaluation flyaway kits, and testing.
Be a key member of the product team, informing the form factors and menu of options for our on-prem offerings.
What makes you a good fit:
4+ years experience with Linux system administration, including host configuration, patching, networking, and debugging typical system health issues.
Experience with building and racking servers. Mostly applicable to our in-house lab.
Coding experience: working knowledge of REST APIs or similar API boundaries and experience working with customers to implement and test integrations (basic scripting, testing, documentation).
Comfortable communicating directly with customers.
US Person required for working at US government facilities.
Ability to travel 40% of the time.
Ability to acquire Part 107 certificate (for flying UAS)

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Network Field Technician supports shipboard operations and maintenance for SURTASS mission equipment, troubleshooting and repairing systems, supporting logistics, and ensuring compliance with Navy maintenance and reporting standards. What You'll Do
Stand watch in the SURTASS Operations Center to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mission equipment.
Keep accurate logs, records, and monitor/send Naval Message Traffic.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all mission equipment following procedures and manuals.
Log maintenance issues using the WILD trouble ticket system, including labor, parts, and external support used.
Maintain and update inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree in computer science, electronics technology, or a related technical field from an accredited university is required

In this role you will be responsible for proactive and reactive network monitoring of Cable One backbone entities and HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) Network. You will act as the first contact for the NOC by responding to calls and email from field personnel, associates, and commercial customers. You will utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and escalate issues to networking specialists, product technology operations, and local system technical operations teams by performing fundamental network operations functions.
What you will do to contribute to the company's success
Monitor information on all network sites, analyze various network monitoring tools, and identify deterioration of components in the system.
Act as first tier in alert response and incident/problem resolution for the Cable One network to identify customer and infrastructure impacting issues.
Perform initial troubleshooting and data gathering to identify and resolve issues in an efficient manner.
Ensure proper escalation to technology operations teams and local system technicians.
Coordinate communication and sends status email messages to all stakeholders and Cable One departments to inform of customer impacting issues.
Maintain a detailed cause and resolutions log of customer and associate-related incidents.
Ensure that the handover to next shift is up-to-date and communicated at the end of the shift.
Confirm network events and issues are identified and properly escalated to the responsible management levels.
Qualifications
At least 3 months related experience or training. Experience in a Network Operations environment preferred.
Must be flexible and able to work alternate shifts as required to support the 24/7 operation.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) preferred.
A working knowledge of modems and basic networking preferred.

Position Summary
Breezeline's Maintenance Technician is a fully functioning, higher level role that supports the growth of the system by assuring the integrity of the HFC and FTTH network, testing, and maintenance of all current HFC/ FTTH network and other equipment associated with plant facilities and distribution systems. Responsibilities
* Predominantly performs preventative and demand maintenance required to restore the HFC/ FTTH network to Breezeline performance specifications as related to customer impacting network impairments and/or outages.
* As business needs dictate, it may perform proactive maintenance required for the HFC/ FTTH network to operate within Breezeline performance specifications.
* As business need and proficiency in role occurs, incumbent will apply knowledge and skills acquired through ongoing training in the areas of Automation, Network, and Fiber
* Maintains and repairs equipment with the HFC/Fiber distribution system. Monitors WFX, Stratusync, iGlass throughout the day for information regarding changes to work schedule and/ or OneView tickets.

* Maintains company truck and other equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines.
