Imaging Procedures • Coordinates the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed to include the use of proper isolations precautions when needed. • Reviews images to determine if they are of diagnostic quality and adjusts factors if an image needs to be repeated. • Starts and maintains intravenous (IV) access as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner. • Identifies, prepares, and/or administers medications as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner. • Procures, prepares quality control, calculates, identifies, documents, administers, disposes, stores and safely handles of radiopharmaceuticals and other radioactive materials.
