Senior operations analysts use best practice models to procure, plan, produce, and manage techniques and processes. They oversee the operations-related data of the organization and develop process documentation for processes and procedures. They also publish communications related to the deployment of new functionalities, earning an average salary of $81,000 annually or $39 per hour.

Senior operations analysts develop and test new tools, reports, and technologies. They ensure daily data capture, which allows for metrics analysis and operations coordination. They also write reports and presentations to guide operational decisions periodically and on the fly. Due to the nature of the job, senior operations analysts need excellent analytical math and writing skills.

Senior operations analysts typically hold a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or other related fields. Gaining some experience in systems applications and products (SAP) and possessing in-depth knowledge of business processes and best practices may prove advantageous in the long run.
