Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage high volume of files from inception to trial.
Draft and analyze legal documents, including discovery, pleadings and correspondence.
Constant communication with court, counsel and clients.
Assist attorney(s) in all phases of trial-preparation, including but not limited to all pre-trial pleadings, redacting medical, preparing deposition page/line summaries, etc.
Managing case deadlines and attorney calendars.
Assist with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.
Subpoena, summarize and analyze medical, radiology and billing records, and compile information to prepare final medical summaries/expense summaries.
Working knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedures and Texas Statutes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Knowledge of legal terminology and civil procedures.

Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in workers' compensation defense or insurance defense.
* Knowledge of Florida workers' compensation laws and 60Q Rules of Procedure.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing software (Adobe Acrobat, Kofax).
* Experience with eJCC filing system and legal case management software (Client Profiles/ATO preferred).

Purpose
The Contested Paralegal - Remote will provide paralegal support to attorney assigned to contested Florida foreclosure files.
Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to client requests via designated client email boxes (i.e. BOASTATUS BOX)
Prepare estimated case fee budget (i.e. CATS) and liaison with billing team to resolve non-budgeted fee issues.
Monitor mail queue and alert attorney of any urgent matters identified via mail queue.
Monitor internal emails and external emails from clients/opposing counsels and respond accordingly.
Open/complete cascades in PHX relating to file movement.
Maintain current dockets in all assigned files.
Prepare draft pleadings, notices and orders for attorney review.
Monitor and prepare timely draft responses to discovery.
Assist attorney with communication of client settlement offers to opposing counsels.
Liaison with client for final execution of Cash For Keys - Settlement and Release Agreements
Monitor telephone messages and returning all calls in a timely manner.
Ability to review dockets and interpret case status.
Run respective File movement reports (i.e. disco report, drops & defaults) and interpret required actions to facilitate file movement.
Respond to internal and client driven status reports.
Respond to monthly client score cards as needed.
Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
Minimum high school. Preferred, degree in paralegal studies.
Two to three years of prior para experience in a judicial practice area.
Understand the basic civil law judicial process
