Description of Work
Global Health Visions (GHV) is seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Associates to support a leading philanthropic client working to expand power, opportunity, and wellbeing for women, families, and underrepresented groups. Through a one-to-two-year secondment, the Associates will join the client's Policy & Advocacy team and contribute to efforts to shape public policy by supporting the team's work with experts, advocates, and community partners on issues such as paid family leave, caregiving support, youth mental health, and workplace equity.
In this role, Associates will lead project management activities, conduct research and analysis, synthesize complex information, and help coordinate cross-team initiatives that move the policy portfolio forward. Success will require strong organizational and time-management skills, the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are collaborative, proactive, and eager to take on a variety of responsibilities across teams.
Scope of Work
Operations and Administration (50%)
Support document development and briefing materials, including briefing books for foundation leadership
Engage and partner with other Program Associates and Program Strategy Director and Manager to ensure the right level of standardization is adopted on team operations broadly
Develop project plans and other tools to keep the team on-task
Support the team's calendars, workflow, time and task management, document and SharePoint data entry, and other responsibilities as directed
Lead and drive data entry and relationship tracking in resource management system (CRM), holding responsibility for accuracy and upkeep
Develop information systems for the team as needed, and ensure key documents and files are organized (electronically) and easy to locate across teams
Serve as the primary liaison for team communications and updates including tracking stats and other communication requirements
Strategy Support (20%)
Conduct research, data analysis and synthesis to inform strategy development and execution
Research and summarize reports, media clips, and key issues as related program areas to keep team apprised of important developments
Prepare PowerPoint presentations and slide decks to convey important information about the team's priorities, strategy and potential grants
Draft strategy updates for working groups, organization leadership, and external partners
Manage portfolio budget and tracking as needed in collaboration with the Planning & Management team
Support tracking and documentation of upcoming grants in coordination with Program Directors, Managers and Planning & Management
Manage the team's data, analytics and measurement program including:
Reporting documents
Measurement indicators
Data entry into reporting tools
Grantmaking Support (20%)
Manage and track grantmaking workflow, help respond to questions and keep grants on track
Support internal coordination of information related to external partners, including reporting requirements and tracking
Flex Capacity (10%)
Manage special projects and other duties as assigned
Skills, Attributes, and Qualifications
Required
3-5 years of combined experience in project management and/or programmatic work; experience in consulting/business management, policy/advocacy and/or government preferred
Sharp synthesis and analytical skills, with previous experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and evaluation
Proven track record of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring a high level of attention to detail while maintaining focus on the big picture
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations; proactive, able to anticipate and solve problems before they occur
Proactive management of details; uses creativity and innovation to take business to the next level

Time Requirement, Location & Rate
Duration: 12-month role with the potential for a 12-month extension based on performance and portfolio needs.
Location/Travel: Associates will be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States but will likely travel to join the team in Seattle or Washington, DC approximately three times per year.
Time: Flexibility to work outside traditional hours as needed.
Compensation & Benefits: $90,000-$100,000 salary.

We see the biggest opportunities to advance decarbonization at the state and local level-fighting restrictive renewable energy policy, securing pro-renewable policy wins, bucking the regulatory trends that are favoring fossil fuel generation over affordable, reliable renewable sources, accelerating utility-scale solar and wind energy projects in communities across the country, fighting local ordinances that are detrimental to the renewable energy transition and proactively advancing local ordinances that are conducive to renewables, bring economic and community benefits, and balance environmental impacts.We are seeking a seasoned renewable energy policy expert to serve as the Renewables Policy Analyst. This position will play a pivotal role focused on local- and state-level policy and regulatory conditions that are at the crux of accelerating the deployment of utility-scale renewables, particularly in rural communities across the US. This role will spearhead the tracking of local ordinances, state level policies, and regulations that impact renewable energy projects through a strategic analysis of threats and opportunities for renewables, where we can have influence through advocacy campaigns, and targeted entry points and decision makers. The Renewables Policy Analyst will share research and analysis of targeted ordinances, policies and regulations, entry points and messaging to inform advocacy campaign implementation, both digitally and on-the-ground. The Renewables Policy Analyst will also provide advice and input to the project origination team about any policies or regulatory conditions that may impact a particular renewable energy project of focus. This is a full-time, remote role based anywhere in the United States. The Renewables Policy Analyst will report to the Head of Communications and Public Relations-and ultimately to the Government Affairs Director, once hired-and be part of the Campaigns Team, working collaboratively across the full team and externally. The Renewables Policy Analyst will be a highly collaborative professional who will work across teams and externally, conduct deep research in databases and across partner resources, and effectively manage up with leadership to secure timely decisions on policy opportunities. The Renewables Policy Analyst will operate from a home office, participate in regular in-person events, field work, and both internal and external meetings. Frequent interactions through video chat with GoodPower team members, partners, vendors, and funders are expected. Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed and a willingness to travel for field-based activities and partner meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Local and State Policy Analysis
Build out a system to track prospective and active policy interventions that includes key inputs for analysis.
Continuously monitor local and state decision-making bodies, policies, events, coalitions, campaigns, trends, and technologies within the renewable energy sector.
Build recommendations of top strategic interventions where we can make in-roads.
Track and manage a list of local elected or appointed officials with decisionmaking authority over renewable energy projects, including past decisions on renewable energy, terms, etc.
Create a feedback loop, analyzing factors that contributed to wins and losses to feed learnings back into project origination analysis.
Provide timely analysis to the project origination team regarding any local and state level policies and regulations potentially impacting a project intervention.
Identify the leading tools and resources needed to set us up for success.
Research & Messaging
Develop clear, concise data-driven memos outlining high-impact opportunities for engagement and a roadmap for the campaigns team to run with.
From the research, develop topline messaging that the campaigns team can use to create digital ads, phone and text scripts, emails, talking points, etc.
Collaborate with GoodPower's Research Lab to run message testing and other research opportunities.
Collaborate with the campaigns, communications, and development teams to communicate the wins and learning from the intervention to staff, board, partners and funders.
Attend partner and funder calls to share learnings, strategies and directions.
Partnerships
Collaborate with teammates to gather inputs for policy tracking, sourcing potential policy information from grassroots and national partners, trade groups and industry associations.
Build relationships directly with developers, industry and trade groups, and county officials to collect information on local ordinance and state level policy and regulations, status, and strategies to inform whether, where and how we can have an impact.
Attend conferences and events to cultivate relationships and gain insights into local policy landscapes and identify potential local elected and community leaders to feature in GoodPower's storytelling work.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of policy experience in a renewable energy company, city or county land use or planning department, state legislature, regulator or renewable energy non-profit or public affairs agency.
Extensive knowledge of local and state energy regulations, including ordinances, zoning, permitting and land use regulations as it relates to renewable energy projects.
Extensive knowledge of the utility-scale renewable energy sector and understanding of the full project cycle, needs, and opportunities-from siting analysis to coming online.
Strong understanding of the state level legislative process across states and background in renewable energy policy.
Experience gathering information and building reports from PolicyNote Curate and/or other industry tools and comfort and agility in working with AI to streamline information gathering.
Proven strategic analysis and ability to take a deluge of information and quickly identify which priorities rise to the top.
Strong writing skills and ability to distill complex information into pieces that can be used for pithy communications and public talking points.
Detail-oriented and an ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed and a willingness to travel for field-based activities and partner meetings.

This position will update and create Coding Policies and associated edit configurations within the PHP claims editing system. In addition, the Coding Policy Analyst will be responsible for replying to provider and member appeals and providing appropriate CPT, CMS, specialty society, Coding Policy, and/or other official documented rationale for Coding Policy edits. About the Role:
As a Senior Care Advocate (LCSW/RN), you will support Medicare members as they navigate complex health and social needs. You will serve as a trusted guide and care coordinator, helping members overcome barriers to access care and essential community resources. In addition to interacting directly with members, you will provide supervisory support as the Care Advocates team grows. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in community health work, and supervisory experience in care navigation, case management, and patient advocacy.
You will be a part of Papa Community, a new business within Papa operating as a dynamic, fast-paced early stage startup. This means that you will be contributing to care delivery while also providing feedback to shape the systems and workflows behind it. Your insights working with patients will directly inform how we grow and improve.
While 90% of your work will be virtual, you'll also engage in on-site visits in the community two to three times per month.
What you'll do: How you will engage with members
Build strong, trusting relationships with Medicare members, grounded in empathy, respect, and patience.
Manage day-to-day workload communicating with members through in-bound calls, out-bound calls, and member inbox. Member communications can take place through video calls, audio-only calls, text messages and emails.
Connect members to community-based social services (such as food assistance, transportation, housing support) to address health-related social needs.
Support appointment scheduling and healthcare access, including provider lookups and reminders.
Help members become stronger self-advocates in managing their health and care. Facilitate behavior change, provide emotional support, and offer health education.
Participate in a coverage schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays for urgent member needs.
How you will provide care coordination
Assess and prioritize members' needs, and support them in navigating health and social care systems.
Develop care plans that address social determinants of health such as food security, transportation, housing, and social isolation.
Clearly document interactions and support activities for members, including tracking metrics and outcomes for the member.
Identify and maintain an up-to-date database of community resources to enhance the support available to members.
Communicate with practitioners, home- and community-based service providers and other healthcare facilities.
How you will collaborate on the team
Translate your experience in case management, patient advocacy, and/or care navigation to inform improvements to the Care Advocate and member experience.
Partner with your manager to improve existing Care Advocate team standard operating procedures (SOPs), develop new SOP content, and update workflows to empower the Care Advocate team to more effectively address member needs.
Develop onboarding process and training materials for future Care Advocates.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Policy Associate (PA), Power, will support the Power team to make and administer grants and work with advocates and other partners to execute strategies and projects. Much of the PA's time is focused on the administration of grants and contracts. The PA will arrange meetings with grantees, consultants, and funders; track and manage the program budget; review grant proposals; draft reports; and at heart, serve as “air traffic control” for incoming communications and requests to the team. Other key duties include organizing routine funder meetings, managing projects within and outside the team, providing administrative support to the team (e.g., scheduling, drafting communications), developing and implementing systems and processes to facilitate internal and external collaboration, and maintaining budgets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Grantmaking
Lead EF's grantmaking process as the primary staff member overseeing the full grant cycle, from proposal development and application to compliance review and organizational approval.
Under legal guidance, serve as the lead reviewer to ensure all EF and Energy Action Fund, our sister 501(c)(4) organization, grant proposals comply with IRS regulations, including adherence to 501(c)(3) requirements and the exclusion of 501(c)(4) activities.
Independently and accurately process proposals, reports, grants, contracts, invoices, and reimbursements in the grants tracking system.
Review grant proposals to ensure content is complete and appropriate, and verify that all required documents are included.
Coordinate joint grants and shared contracts as needed.
Conduct due diligence on proposals and prospective grantees, engaging directly with grantees and consultants to address questions, gather additional information, and request revisions as necessary.
Research and solicit proposals from potential new grantees with minimal assistance.
Collect, track, and synthesize grantee insights for use in reports.
Prepare the Power team, along with grantees and consultants, in advance of meetings to help deliver effective conversations, including circulating materials, flagging relevant questions, coordinating on meeting agendas, and setting clear expectations for meeting outcomes.
Assist in conducting research and performing due diligence on proposals or prospective grantees. Directly engage with grantees and consultants to seek additional information as needed.

Internal Support and Coordination
Foster effective coordination and integration within the Power team, including using tools and systems to support collaboration and information-sharing (e.g., Asana, Slack) and supporting regular team check-ins.
Schedule calls and meetings as needed and handle meeting logistics (e.g., arrange locations, prepare the technology interface, ensure that agendas are circulated in advance, support meeting follow-up).

Serve as a liaison to other EF teams to ensure that the Clean Power team is fully integrated with other National team programs.

External Coordination

Our policy department advocates for an improved response to sexual violence, including through the criminal justice, legal, healthcare and social services systems, in order to ensure survivors receive the justice and care they deserve. The ACS CAN Policy team is hiring an intern for the winter semester. The Public Policy Internship is an exciting opportunity to work with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network - the advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society. Through its advocacy work at the local, state, and federal level, ACS CAN influences evidence-based public policy change, as well as legislative and regulatory solutions to reduce the cancer burden.
The Public Policy Intern will work directly with the ACS CAN policy team on a wide range of state and federal public policy issues including access to care, cancer research, prevention and screening, and tobacco. The intern will also have opportunities to work with colleagues from other teams across the enterprise.
We are looking for candidates who are at least a college senior - graduate students strongly preferred - with a keen interest in health policy. Candidates should be able to dedicate at least 15 hours per week for the duration of the internship. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Policy Director and Senior Analysts in tracking and analyzing key federal and state health care legislative initiatives and policy developments.
Assisting Policy Principals and Seniors Analysts in the collection of relevant health care data.
Developing fact sheets, testimony, infographics, and other materials for use by state and federal advocacy teams and ACS CAN field staff.
Maintaining and organizing program files, resource materials, and other program information systems; and all other duties, as assigned.
