BAE Systems senior pricing analyst job description

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst with exceptional analytical skills to join our Pricing team. In this position, you will analyze solicitations to determine scope and requirements and prepare fully compliant responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) from Federal and Civilian U.S. Government agencies as well as Commercial and International agencies. Proposals developed fall across all contract types Fixed Price and Cost Type (FFP, FP-LOE, T&M, FP-LH, CPFF, CFAF, etc.).

As a Senior Pricing Analyst you will participate in matrixed proposal teams for new business opportunities, re-competes, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP's). The Pricing Analyst is responsible for preparing all cost/price related submission and internal review documents including pricing related briefings, cost/price models, subcontractor Request for Quotes (RFQ's) templates, and subcontractor pricing analyses. Other duties include maintaining pricing related documentation, estimating system compliance, and ad-hoc finance projects.
In this position, you will:
Develop and prepare cost/price proposals in response to RFP requirements, and compliant with all Government policies and regulations and internal documented procedures. Participate in pricing strategy development to ensure feasibility and requirements compliance. Work closely with Capture Teams, Operations, Contracts, Finance and Proposal Development to ensure the cost/price proposal is professional, accurate, competitive and profitable. Participate in the preparation of subcontractor Request for Quote (RFQ) documentation and templates. Conduct price analysis on subcontractor quotes as needed. Prepare detailed cost/price briefings to senior leadership, to include RFP pricing requirements / evaluation criteria, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics. Maintain detailed pricing documentation files to serve as reference for future inquiries or audits Support proposal negotiations, fact finding and audits as required.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills


Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience or Master's degree plus 2 years of experience in pricing Cost/Price proposals, financial analysis or equivalent experience. Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically strong Excel skills, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate and interact well with all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and effectively under time critical deadlines and stressful situations Familiarity with FAR and DFARS proposal requirements


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills


Experience with all Fixed Price and Cost Type contracts, including FFP, FFP, FP-LOE, T&M, FP-LH, CPFF, CFAF, and other Cost Reimbursable contract types. Advanced Excel skills and proficient in other MS Office applications. Familiarity with FAR and DFARS proposal requirements

Senior Analyst, Merchandise Control Pricing Operations - (22006935) Description Supports the end to end price change activities including permanent pricing for company/zone/site, advertising, temporary offers, rewards, coupons, and advanced pricing promotions. Performs pricing data analysis, audits, validation, and reporting and partners cross-functionally to ensure the correct price is presented and inventory is valued properly. Identifies and resolves pricing conflicts and maintains required documentation.

1. Reviews permanent price change requests for completeness and accuracy at chain, zone and site level; evaluates price conflicts, problem solves, recommends pricing execution plan and executes approved permanent prices.

2. Reviews article ad pricing by chain, zone, and market for each ad vehicle. Analyzes and resolves pricing conflicts and systemically releases ad pricing.

3. Reviews, evaluates, and executes temporary pricing to support point of sale discounting for defined groups of product or sites. Follows the seasonal pricing schedule and works cross-functionally to ensure that pricing strategy is consistent with forecasted glide-path or exit strategies and the quarterly markdown forecast by week. Creates special pricing offers where appropriate.

4. Prepares markdown candidate recaps, ad hoc analysis, and executive summary reporting including prioritization and updated forecast calculations. Presents analysis of margin impact to mark up or markdown metrics as needed.
5. Executes and supports price testing for zone permanent pricing.
