We are looking for a **Senior Applied Scientist** to join our Security Engineering organization and help **define the future of security operations** for Oracle's SaaS ecosystem. This role offers a **rare and high-impact opportunity** to shape how next-generation detection, response, and threat defense will work across one of the largest enterprise cloud environments in the world.
As a Senior IC, you will architect and develop **advanced ML and behavioral models** that enable a new class of **adaptive, intelligence-informed security capabilities.** You will work directly with massive, noisy, and adversarial telemetry; build models that must operate at extreme scale; and pioneer approaches that transform how our analysts, detections, and automated systems understand attacker behavior.

The R&D Discovery and Technology Futures Team at IDEXX Laboratories is seeking an innovative early career Associate Scientist to assist in designing the next generation of IDEXX products. What You'll Do:
Perform a variety of novel and traditional biomarker assays, including immunoassay (e.g., ELISA and immunofluorescence), enzyme activity, nucleic acid detection, etc.
Contribute to the design, development, and early-stage feasibility assessment of new assay formats and embodiments.
Design experiments and new protocols, analyze complex data sets, and troubleshoot around failure modes.
Communicate data, complex analytical methods, and project impact cross-functionally.
Collaborate closely with other team members within the group and broader R&D organization to drive results.
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelors in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields with 3-5 years of relevant discovery research experience in industry or academic lab
Technical knowledge and experience running ELISA immunoassays is required
Exposure to other immunoassay formats and nucleic acid detection is highly desirable
Ability to quickly learn new skills and technologies, pivot around new strategies, and prioritize critical experiments to meet timelines.
Ability to clearly communicate data to a wide range of audiences and convey impact on a broader scale

Overview
