The Sr. Analyst of Development Strategy and Special Projects will play a key role on USPI's Corporate Development team. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development and continued improvement of the overall M&A strategy process, standards, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with analytical tools with application of strategic and critical thinking skills to synthesize findings and make recommendations. In this role, the Sr. Analyst will have exposure to and experience working with all areas of the M&A business, in addition to working on special projects supporting USPI's key priorities and initiatives and Corporate Development team.
The Sr. Analyst's essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:



Manage and be subject matter expert on strategic development tools and reporting
Design and lead process for advanced, dynamic, and automated reporting of critical development metrics
Collect, analyze, synthesize, and present data and insights
Conduct market assessments and present findings and recommendations to M&A team and USPI executives
Facilitate process improvement planning and implementation, developing and refining processes and standards of the Corporate Development team
Lead project management activities and other special projects supporting USPI's key priorities and initiatives
Develop executive-level presentations, reports and materials



Required Skills:



Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier university
2-3 years of work experience in a relevant role; preferred experience in consulting, finance, or corporate development field
Advanced user of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong analytical, process improvement and critical thinking skills
Must be detail-oriented, have excellent time-management skills and experience in producing professional, high quality work products

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include building a reporting strategy, identifying immediate as well as long term reporting needs for both New Flows team and external orgs across the company, facilitating cross group collaboration on documentation, champion uniform ways of working across multiple New Flows verticals, driving the development of effective dashboards to track multiple key metrics, and helping to author report outs and presentations.

Create a reporting strategy for New Flows org, then drive execution of the same

Build reports and dashboards for tracking various finance and governance KPIs,

Explore and implement automation strategies for periodic refresh

Contribute to the development of KPIs, dashboards, and other program health tracking to provide visibility to key stakeholders on projects and programs. This will include working with key stakeholders to define key performance measures and driving analytics.

Provide regular visibility to leadership on progress, action items, blockers, risks, and dependencies.

Create flourishing culture of efficiency, excitement, fun and cohesion among all the New Flows functions by connecting the dots and leveraging best practices across the organization

Partner with peers for Org level communications including bi-weekly executive reporting, newsletter, and presentations for All-hands.

Ability to influence outcomes from partners at all levels of the organization.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

The Leidos Defense Group is currently seeking a Senior Project Analyst to support a crucial DoD mission. This project analyst will support the customer in performing its research and development mission through program planning and budget tasks, project monitoring and tracking, and the conduct of several science and engineering related projects.

The Army Research Laboratory (ARL) in Adelphi, MD is currently seeking a driven, results oriented and motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills to join our team as a Senior Project Analyst. Role functions would include ensuring requirements and milestones are established and met, through the implementation of project planning processes, providing visibility on contracts and funding. Successful candidate will work with project managers and technical leads to develop budgets and schedules meeting contractual/project requirements.

The analyst will monitor technical progress for customer projects and may conduct research to advise on recommendations for technical experiments, tests, and demonstration events. This may include data collection and analysis, and post-event reporting and briefings.

The employee will work independently on multiple, concurrent small to medium, moderately complex projects/assignments, set objectives for their own area to meet the objectives or goals. They will solve problems spanning a range of issues or areas through independent research and by drawing from prior experiences and completing in depth, detailed analysis. They will provide status updates and make recommendations based on their findings.
Though not frequent, there is a possibility for occasional travel on this project.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support the customers' budget manager in their responsibility to plan, execute and track the management of multiple funding types, including congressional, mission, and customer funding.Perform or assist with performing the following tasks:Coordinate periodic program reviews with technical engineers for ongoing development projects Monitor project technical performance, schedule, costs, and deliverables Consolidate data, conduct or validate analysis, and develop program reports and briefings for senior officials Maintain accurate records of the expenditures of funds on multiple projects Monitor funds expenditure to anticipate events such as the exhaustion of funding or the date at which additional incremental funding will be required Research, assess and provide inputs to support the customer evaluation of alternative funding plans for future contracting activities Draft various financial and policy documents, including working with external authorities as needed for editing and final release Maintain an electronic database of the financial and technical progress reports on multiple projects Assist the engineering team in researching emerging technologies, and planning, conducting, and reporting on experiments, demonstration events, and tests.Work under the direction of the task lead and COR, and with feedback from the supported government customer.Work as a part of, or lead small cross-functional teams including technical, contractual, managerial, and administrative personnel

Additional Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, engineers, other functional resources, etc.) Explains procedures, solutions/recommendations, practices, and procedures to others within the organization Develops spreadsheets, briefings, white papers, and reports to senior and peer personnel communicating status, outcomes, and recommendations.Collaborate with other organizational personnel to develop the same products on a larger scale, and with higher visibility.Operate both independently, and as part of small teams where they may be the sole project analyst. Coordinate as needed with the larger customer organization financial, contracting, and technical project teams, to include resolving issues, and support of organization-wide policy implementation, audits, and inspections.Support cyclical financial tracking and reporting, complete budget forecasts, track burn rate expenditures, and budget expenditure reporting.Complete both single-event planning for special projects, and multi-scenario planning for budget contingencies such as a continuing resolution.Coordinate/lead projects where project analysis functions and responsibilities are a major component.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, science, or related technical field, with eight or more years relevant experience. May consider additional years of applicable experience, certifications, and/or training in lieu of degree requirement.Currently possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, must be able to successfully complete a post-hire Special Access Program briefing to remain in this position Proficient in MS Office applications, mainly Excel (including functions such as pivot tables, graphing trend lines, and data analysis), and PowerPoint (preparing, editing, formatting presentations from disparate sources of information) Communicates clearly in written and verbal form with senior, peer, and subordinate personnel Operate in a dynamic environment, rapidly learn new skills, and ability to organize and analyze information from disparate sources into various formats for subsequent use

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in finance, science, or related technical field, with six or more years of relevant experience Previous experience within the ARL program office or another government agency (including department of defense) Familiarity with government funding processes and tools, to include program acquisition cycle; funding types, uses and timelines; contract types, contract documentation such as awards, modifications and MIPRS; and funds management systems such as ODS, GFEBs and WAWFTechnical knowledge or experience in customer's functions, including aeronautical, electrical, systems engineering, chemistry, or physics

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $111,000.00 - $149,850.00
