Purpose:
The Software Project Manager will drive the enhancement and maintenance of a mobile learning application through close coordination with customer and collaborator stakeholders. This role involves managing technical work, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and quality deliverables for our government customers. The Project Manager will manage customer relationships and ensure successful collaboration among a diverse team of learning scientists, software developers, and instructional designers. Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively manage Agile software development projects
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Review, and Retrospectives

Work Environment

Education and/or Experience

Once an opportunity becomes a sales order, the Project Manager drives all activities from the point of sale to on-site delivery including coordinating with engineering, approval of submittals, scheduling with production and on-site delivery with the customer and transportation. The Project Manager acts as the main point of contact for customers and vendors on assigned sales orders and is directly responsible for monitoring the project costs and compliance with contract documents, attending job meetings and balancing the customer and OI interests throughout the entire process.
Job Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is being the “voice of the customer” in OI facilities.
Responsible for managing multiple sales orders concurrently.
Upon sales order assignment by the C.O.M, share responsibility with the O.S.R and Est. to hold a Turnover/Kick Off meeting at the point of sale to ensure all needed information and paperwork are complete; that the scope of work is clear; review the estimate and confirm values for all items; and begins the process of scheduling the project with production to align with “Customer Ship Date” in AX.
From point of sales order assignment, the P.L. becomes the point of contact for the customer. They must ensure the customer is kept up-to-date from production schedule to on-site delivery.
Provide direction and oversight to all aspects of the project team; engineering, production planning, transportation, procurement and accounting.
Prepare any applicable change order proposals in a timely manner, whether owner/ client/ engineer request or by generation from OI.
Monitors the progress and status from the point of sales as it moves through the process, and acts to problem solve proactively, offers technical advice, and assists other staff to expedite assigned projects, removes obstacles which may cause a project to fall behind schedule.
Ensures a mentality of continuous improvement of processes and systems.
If needed, coordinate site visits and work with the customer to ensure that all issues that arise from the point of sale to completion of the project are resolved promptly, including but not limited to change orders, adjustments to schedule and collect information as appropriate to each assigned project. Identify and requisition special purchase items as required.
Managing the required submittals/approvals with customer as required.
Communicate with the Transportation department on the initial delivery needs of the customer and follow up when required.
Working with other project managers and the plant manager to manage the long-term schedule to minimize conflicts with operational restrictions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. *Civil Engineering preferred.
5+ years Project Management experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage several large to small, complex projects simultaneously.
Ability to work through project databases- SAP S/4 HANA experience preferred.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

This position assists in the design and delivery of Project Management and Business Analysis functions for Our Direct Client.
Responsibilities include ensuring teamwork efforts support the Program Manager and IT Department initiatives and goals. Guides and mentors, the Project Manager team members. Builds and maintains strong positive relationships with other groups from within Information Services and the County Divisions.
The position will serve as lead on multiple, concurrent IT Enterprise scale investments and initiatives following best practices of the Project Management Institute. This role typically oversees or leads multiple small projects, or at least one large complex project.
Essential Functions

·Overseeing activities of the Project Managers within the Information Technology Solutions Delivery Group. Planning and delivery of assigned tasks, evaluating team progress, and facilitating communication within IT and collaboration across all County agencies.
·Reviews the work of project team members; ensures work methods meet Seminole County policies and quality standards; provides guidance to project team(s); prepares employee performance goals and evaluations, approves timecard submissions; conducts one-on-one feedback sessions and identifies and implements development actions to improve employee performance and skill base.
·Coordinates activities and projects in assigned area; develops necessary project plans, cost estimates, project budgets, work breakdowns and schedules, and project summary descriptions and justifications for department review.
·Coordinates project planning with other staff through meetings and shared written and oral reporting and communications.
·Works closely with the business and IT leaders, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure value is delivered from IT investments and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
·Negotiate, prepare, and manage participation agreements and other contracts with outside vendors as needed; directs vendor activities in accordance with contract requirements. Manages IT-related vendor relationships on behalf of the County.
·Develop and monitor project resources as necessary to complete project tasks ensuring proper and efficient use of Seminole County and other participant resources and smooth coordination with external parties.
Additional Duties:
Performs other related work as required. In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Technology, or a closely related field five (5) years of computer and information management experience. Competency may be demonstrated through the complexity, scope, and size of prior project involvement.
Licenses/Certificates:
Incumbent must possess a Project Management Institute PMP Certification at time of employment.
Incumbent must obtain a Project Management Institute PBA Certification - within 12 months of appointment to this classification
Our Direct Client will reimburse certification exam fees with a passing score provided.
Lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
