Overview: As the Project Manager on the Digital Manufacturing team, manage projects related to the product supply organization with a particular focus on warehouse automation and the delivery of technical Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). This will include monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the team, working closely with software developers, systems analysts and other IT team members. The position will be responsible for managing assigned projects throughout their life cycle (as per established project management standards and guidelines) to ensure benefits as prescribed in the business case are delivered. The primary role is to control the project performance including scope, time, quality, cost, risk, benefits and coordinate the activities of the team responsible for project deliverables. Plan, delegate, monitor and control project performance in a standard process including identifying a project, defining a project, executing a project, directing a project, and closing a project. Role: Create detailed project plans including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, reporting processes and allocating resources in accordance within the digital strategy. Apply project management tools, methodologies and best practices to ensure the on-time launch and flawless execution of projects from concept to end. Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities. This includes being able to identify project management coordination gaps or areas of improvement and make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress the project. Oversee technical analysis of as-is and to-be warehousing storage and retrieval solutions, including consultation with the business to determine functional specifications. Deliver modifications to ensure the successful integration of the ASRS with existing IT applications including SAP Warehouse Management. Manage and control project budget providing cost forecasts and cash flow projections through development of project cost and status reports on at least a monthly basis or as requested by project stakeholders. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports highlighting the KPIs that are below targets. Also, coordinate root cause analysis when targets are not met and support the implementation of solutions. Update projects details in the portfolio management system including maintenance of resource plans. Review resource time entries to identify where planned versus actuals time entries deviate. Communicate with leadership to provide weekly project updates, keep project aligned to goals and proactively escalate issues to stay on time and schedule. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in technology, business, management or relatable experience, OR relevant job experience. 10 - 12+ years experience in a technical project management role. Expertise managing project scope, schedule, timelines, budget, risk and resources. 2+ years' experience in IT warehouse automation with experience in automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) and/or SAP WM (warehouse management) module. Agile development methodology. Ability to manage project budgets, cost center flows and vendor management cycle. Ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and improve integration between systems. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and other project management tools. Stakeholder management experience within a project management role. MAJOR GOALS AND PURPOSE The Project Manager will assume overall responsibility for a profitable, well-constructed, safe project, completing in a timely manner. This individual is responsible for the development of subordinates and good client rapport and will manage approximately $10 to $20+ million dollars of revenue annually across civil and water/wastewater projects. (Volume depends on number of projects assigned and experience level). Experience delivering self-perform water/wastewater, design/build and other civil projects a plus. ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES Assume responsibility for project profitability. Review and develop project proposals, estimates, and pertinent documents with division estimators. Coordinate construction activities with the owner, subcontractors and Tarlton personnel. Compile the required documentation to support legal position if required. Determine the most cost-effective construction methods and use of personnel, material, equipment and subcontractors. Prepare invoice to owner as required. Prepare and update project schedule. Review and approve subcontractor selections and subsequent subcontractor invoicing. Prepare scopes for purchase orders and change orders to material suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare monthly cash flow projections and project status reports. Manage multiple projects concurrently. Ensure that the project is completed in compliance with project documents and designated quality standards. Make binding decisions authorized by corporate policy. And various other duties that may be assigned by the company.
