Address supply chain disruptions and material shortages promptly, identifying solutions to keep production on track.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Solid understanding of production planning, procurement, and inventory management principles.
Experience with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments to achieve organizational goals.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization practices is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role enables a geographically aligned operating model that services all hiring needs across all business lines. This role will interface regularly with high school, trade school, 2 year and 4 year institutions and their constituents.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with universities, student organizations, and internal business leaders to advance recruiting goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for university partners and internal stakeholders regarding early career talent needs.
Partnership Development & Engagement: Proactively engage with career services, faculty, and student groups to promote the employer brand, identify talent pipelines, and co-create recruiting events and programs tailored to business needs.
Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business unit leaders, Partner Recruiters, People Business Partners, and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, align recruiting strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Management: Oversee the sourcing process and maintain a strong talent pipeline for entry-level roles.
Advisory & Offer Management: Advise hiring managers on recruiting strategies, partnerships, and efforts to enhance recruitment program execution.
Campus Recruiting Activities: Manage, plan, travel to, and facilitate campus recruiting events such as career fairs, advertising, company info sessions, and interview days.
Reporting & Staff Planning: Prepare for and lead staffing meetings, share data on candidate activity, report on recruiting progress, and provide insights for staffing plans.
Program Execution: Execute pipeline and internship programs for assigned locations.
Travel & Budget Management: Willingness to travel to assigned campuses and internal customer locations, especially during peak recruiting seasons. Continuously re-evaluate travel strategy to deepen key relationships internally and externally. Ensure adherence to university recruiting budget for assigned regions.
Outcomes & Reporting: Track and report on partnership effectiveness, engagement levels, and conversion rates from key schools. Use data to inform continuous improvement of recruiting strategies.
Candidate Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain and leverage external feedback and best in class practices that serve and relate to candidate needs, challenges, opportunities in service of the J.B. Hunt talent strategy (i.e. stay engaged with and implement practices that correlate to the specific school's demographic).

Minimum:
Associate's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field
OR
2+ years of combined experience, education, and training
Travel expectations will vary and could reach up to 75% travel seasonally
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field
Up to 2-4 years of relevant experience
Experience in university recruiting.
The expected starting pay range for this position is $50,880-$63,600.
Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
