Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

+ 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures or algorithms.

+ 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

+ 1 year of experience in a Technical Leadership role.

+ Experience with applied cryptography.

+ Experience developing protocols.

Google's Privacy Sandbox is a company-wide effort to make it impossible to track users across sites and apps at scale. You will work with anti-fraud teams around the world to identify how their abilities are impacted by these changes, and invent new technologies that allow us to concurrently improve privacy and safety.

You will also help us develop new protocols for privacy-preserving feedback mechanisms, design systems for interactive and differentially private analysis, and more. You will thrive at the bleeding edge of research and globe-scale design and deployment, collaborating with the world's most advanced anti-fraud teams and privacy researchers. You will help with the design of protocols employing blind signatures, zero-knowledge proofs, and more.

Additional Information:

+ Develop and refine approaches for critical anti-fraud use cases, work with product and engineering to prototype and test these approaches in the field.

+ Collaborate with the broader Google research community to solicit expertise that augments your own, lead these collaborations to fruition and impact.

+ Develop expertise in relevant anti-fraud disciplines and associated use cases and requirements, internalize and help refine our privacy threat model.

+ Contribute to standards and relevant discussions in the IETF, W3C, and similar bodies.

Tenable is looking for a Research Engineer to join our NASL Integrations Research Engineering Team. This position will involve developing and maintaining integrations for Nessus to communicate with 3rd party software such as PAM, MDM, and Patch Management software.

Your Opportunity:

• Technical analysis of 3rd party software APIs, as well as collaboration with 3rd party vendors to better understand the product capabilities and APIs
• Develop and maintain integration code written in NASL
• Collaborate with other teams to extend NASL libraries as needed
• Collaborate with other teams to extend product UIs

What You'll Need:

• Must have a strong initiative and the ability to work both in a self-directed manner and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to respond quickly and shift priorities as needed
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of software development experience with a scripting language such as Python, Ruby, or Perl
• At least some exposure to a full software development life cycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, design, estimation, development, quality control and unit testing

And Ideally:

• Experience with system administration, including setting up complicated software environments for testing
• Ability to work with customers and resolve complex support issues
• Familiarity with Nessus Sensor and associated Tenable products (Tenable.io, Security Center, etc.)
