I'm Sandesh P. I was a busyboy at Maravilla Senior Living in Santa Barbara, CA, from 2005-08. I wish i never worked there. Im a short Indian guy, at the time I had a lot of mental problems and didnt take care of myself so i became a big target for the lowlives here. I worked with the dining/kitchen staff. Half of them were incompetent employees and just terrible people. I started off kind of the same but eventually got better. I was bullied a lot and since I worked hard the low lives here would take advantage of that and make me do nearly all the work and even mock me about it. Before the last few months here I got at least two death threats. I eventually quit w/o warning because i had a meltdown in my life but i did leave the boss a message. The residents weren't bad. The manager was ok but he kept hiring incompetent people, and from reviews from around the internet it looks like not much has changed in that.
Slightly above min wage. Work was easy when i didnt have to deal with lowlives.
