Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Develop a masterful understanding of the Company's primary brokerage commission revenue stream and OneDigital's tracking of monthly commission receipts to estimate and accrue revenue at detailed level to specific P&Ls Assist with the revenue recognition process for other lines of business, including retirement & wealth, consulting, and property & casualty Assist with the monthly AR estimate and review process Ensure AR and other revenue-related accounts are reconciled fully on a monthly basis, and all reconciling items are properly investigated Partner with Regional Finance Leaders to provide relevant reporting and insightful data to be utilized in driving organic revenue growth Provide ongoing analysis of developing revenue trends at various levels of organization to include development of routine metrics (to include AR aging) Interface with offices to investigate revenue discrepancies and communicate accounting adjustments Guide the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department Perform other tasks as required

Our opportunity:


We are currently looking for a new addition to our Revenue Accounting Team. This is an exciting position that will report to the Manager of Revenue. You'll apply your knowledge and experience in building out and refining the order-to-cash and record-to-report process for a hyper-growth late stage pre-IPO company. You will make an impact by being responsible for:


Supporting the development and buildout of recurring/automated reports within our IT systems as well as data visualization tools Developing and maintain documentation for business processes and compliance related work Assisting in the implementation of order-to-cash systems Maintaining a strong understanding of the operational results to assist management in making informed operational decisions based upon the recorded outcomes. Partnering with Legal, Sales, and Contracts teams to understand and analyze deal structures and the resulting revenue recognition outcomes for the Company Documenting contract reviews in accordance with ASC 606 accounting standards with attention to details Participating in financial close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and related fluctuation analysis Assisting with other special projects as needed, drive projects to successful completion

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of similar experience in Revenue Accounting CPA or equivalent preferred Big 4 experience or relevant software/tech industry preferred Understanding and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules Familiarity with IT systems and tools (Workday, RevPro, SFDC, Power BI and/or Alteryx)

Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant who will be instrumental in helping Smartsheet navigate through its next phase of growth and expansion. This role will be responsible for identifying, recording, reconciling and evaluating revenues from all of Smartsheet's professional services offerings. You Will:

Participate in the review of professional services contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under the ASC 606 standard Record and reconcile revenue recognition related transactions on a monthly basis Develop a deep understanding of the transactional flow through various systems to monitor and ensure accurate financial results Create monthly variance analysis reports including presentation to senior management Continue to increase efficiencies in processes to generate metrics which are required for financial statement reporting purposes Interact with financial and services operations team and perform controls to ensure proper invoicing of our customers Review, assess, and make recommendations for the processes which lead to or impact revenue recognition Help us continue to build and scale our processes, in accordance with industry best practices Participate in continued development and evaluation of internal controls and processes, in accordance with best practices and SOX requirements Understand business drivers and effects on financial results to ensure business changes are accurately reflected in the financial results and analysis Create high-quality workpapers


You Have:
