Actively engage in selling by telephone or in person Western Lumber and Great Lakes Studs by providing price quotes, freight rates, and generally meets the needs of the customer. Has responsibility for a large territory or specific product line. Has full knowledge of product lines and operates with minimum supervision. The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Sell wood products and services to assigned customer base which includes regular customer contacts and regular customer visits.
Provide industry and product expertise to assigned customers to ensure their success, while meeting production capabilities and sales objectives.
Provide regular and routine communications on all aspects of the business to include sales forecasts, competitive activities and sales results.
Comply with division credit policies and monitor account base for consistency with assigned parameters.
Manage a regional sales office if assigned.
Responsibility for sales, inventory and order file of a specific product if assigned.
Customer Service:
Recommend appropriate courses of action regarding product claims and ensure that all claims are investigated and resolved in adherence to proper investigation procedures.
Stay conversant on other wood products the company sells to provide backup support within the sales office.
Marketing Activities:
Assist in marketing activities such as presentations and market research.
Represent the company at industry or association meetings on occasion.
Requirements
High School diploma and seven (7) years wood products sales experience, or bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business and five (5) years of wood products sales experience required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrated complete product knowledge and have special/complete sales ability.
Ability to plan and execute sales activities for large accounts or customers who purchase higher valued products requiring technical expertise.
Ability to make short term pricing decisions consistent with sales office objectives.
Ability to operate independently within overall sales policies and guidelines

* Drive appropriate utilization of approved CV products. The CSC works closely with other Bayer commercial associates to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCP's;
* Leverage expertise and knowledge of diabetes, nephrology and CVD, the marketplace, applicable competitors, industry and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges;
* Provide relevant, thoughtful input to other commercial colleagues (e.g. sales leadership, regional account managers) in regard to strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region;

* Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential;
