  • Software Engineer, AI Agents

    Asana 4.6company rating

    Remote job

We're building AI Teammates: agents that work like actual users in Asana and integrated apps. They triage bugs, respond to requests, draft project briefs, conduct research, and handle knowledge work across your team's workflows. Unlike chatbots, Teammates are shared team resources that build memory and context across all executions. They get smarter as you and your colleagues work with them. You'll help build the Teammates platform and experience, currently in beta with Fortune 500 customers and launching to GA next year. This represents Asana's shift from tracking work to getting work done. You'll ship agentic workflows, evaluation systems, and product features using our custom TypeScript framework with frontier LLMs. We have close partnerships with OpenAI and Anthropic and move at the pace of the industry. The work adapts quickly as agent capabilities evolve. This role sits on the AI Teammates team, working closely with PM, Design, and Research to deliver high-impact features. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. What you'll build: The Teammates platform: agents that collaborate with users and each other across Asana and integrated apps Agentic workflows in production (function calling, multi-step planning, memory, orchestration) Evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and observability systems to improve reliability, safety, latency, and cost Integrations with connectors and grounding sources (e.g., calendar, docs, tickets, retrieval systems) A/B tests and experiments to measure user impact with cross-functional partners End-to-end instrumentation and debugging for agent systems at scale You'll also contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, mentorship, and pragmatic technical design. What makes this challenging This work is horizontal. It touches every part of the Asana experience. You'll solve problems around performance and reliability at scale, multi-user collaboration with agents, and persistent memory systems. The industry is moving quickly, so your work will adapt with it. What we're looking for: Strong software engineering fundamentals including 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience. You've built reliable production systems and know how to operate them. Excitement about AI and agentic systems with capacity to learn quickly. Previous applied AI experience like RAG, search, or eval frameworks is a plus. Experience with or eagerness to develop skills in: agent/tool orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and production observability. Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision‑making. Customer‑oriented product mindset. Comfortable running experiments, making tradeoffs, and collaborating across engineering, PM, Design, and Research. Clear communication and effective collaboration. Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration. This work is at the bleeding edge and adapts as the industry evolves. Shipped agents in production are not required. We care more about your ability to build reliable systems and learn fast. What We'll Offer: Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $171,000-$258,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your Talent Acquisition Partner to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role. We strive to provide equitable and competitive benefits packages that support our employees worldwide and include: Mental health, wellness & fitness benefits Career coaching & support Inclusive family building benefits Long-term savings or retirement plans In-office culinary options to cater to your dietary preferences These are just some of the benefits we offer, and benefits may vary based on role, country, and local regulations. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your Talent Acquisition Partner to learn more #LI-Hybrid About us Asana helps teams orchestrate their work, from small projects to strategic initiatives. Millions of teams around the world rely on Asana to achieve their most important goals, faster. Asana has been named a Top 10 Best Workplace for 5 years in a row, is Fortune's #1 Best Workplace in the Bay Area, and one of Glassdoor's and Inc.'s Best Places to Work. We're building the creative layer for modern communication. Every month, over a billion people make presentations - but the tools they use to make them haven't evolved in decades. We're changing that, using AI to disrupt a massive market. 📈 Millions of people rely on Gamma to create, teach, and persuade, creating more than 1 million gammas every day. 💻 We see Gamma as the next great workplace tool, combining viral B2C love with a massive B2B opportunity. We believe AI can be a true creative partner: one that understands context, clarity, and taste. 💸 We've reached a $2.1B valuation, crossed $100M in annual recurring revenue, and have been profitable since 2023. 💙 We're an imaginative, passionate team who takes our work seriously, but not ourselves. Our culture is warm, a little quirky, and fueled by curiosity. About the role You'll protect Gamma's platform, infrastructure, and data as we scale to serve hundreds of millions of users. This means building security tooling and automation, partnering with engineering teams to bake security into everything we ship, and helping shape our security culture. You'll work across the entire organization to identify and mitigate risks while keeping our development velocity high. This role combines hands‑on security engineering with strategic influence. You'll write code to solve security problems, conduct architecture reviews, lead vulnerability management, and drive security initiatives for compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure security is foundational, not an afterthought. Our team has a strong in‑office culture and works in person 4-5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most. What you'll do Design and implement security controls across Gamma's AWS infrastructure and application layer Build security tooling and automation to detect, prevent, and respond to threats at scale Conduct security reviews of architecture designs, code, and infrastructure changes Lead vulnerability management programs, coordinate bug bounty responses, and prioritize remediation Develop and maintain security monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities Partner with engineering teams to implement secure coding practices and conduct threat modeling sessions What you'll bring 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2-3 years focused on security engineering or application security Strong hands‑on experience securing AWS environments (IAM, VPC, security groups, CloudTrail, GuardDuty) Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go preferred) for building security tools Deep understanding of web application security (OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, injection attacks, authentication/authorization flaws) Experience implementing security controls in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with product engineering teams Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and log analysis (Nice to have) Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security (Nice to have) AWS security certifications (Security Specialty, Certified Security Engineer) (Nice to have) Experience at a high‑growth SaaS startup navigating rapid scaling and compliance needs (Nice to have)> Compensation range Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to experience and expertise in the requirements listed above. If you're interested in this role but you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway! We're always excited about meeting great people. We're building on a full Typescript stack centered around some of the most modern and popular technologies. We use our own custom, open‑source AI prompting framework, AIJSX. We have a lot of custom tools built in-house, but also new ones like Vercel AI SDK. Our tiny team operates at massive scale: 1 M+ 70 M users around the world 6 M+ AI images generated daily 1 trillion LLM tokens processed per month Life at Gamma You get energy from small teams doing big things. You love when design, code, and storytelling overlap. You default to action, even when the answer isn't clear yet. You value details, but know when to ship and move on. You bring both the spreadsheets and the sparkle, equal parts workhorse and unicorn. You believe AI should amplify creativity, not replace it. You know kindness and intensity are not opposites. You like working with people who care deeply: about their craft, their teammates, and the users on the other side of the screen. Who we are Gamma is full of imaginative, passionate people who take their work seriously but not themselves. The culture is warm, a little quirky, and fueled by curiosity. It's the kind of place where you'll debate a pixel on Monday, laugh over someone's keyboard setup on Tuesday, and ship something remarkable by Friday. We care about craft, move with intention, and don't mind getting a little scrappy. It's fast, creative, and occasionally chaotic - but that's what makes it interesting. Here's a bit about what it's like to work here, from people on the inside: “quirky, inspiring, fun, a little wild in the best way” “You can have an idea and just run with it.” “Everyone's talented and humble - the mix keeps you sharp.” “We ship cool stuff, learn a ton, and laugh a lot doing it.” Meet the team We're a team of dreamers and doers building in beautiful San Francisco 🌉 We're kabbadi enthusiasts, pickleballers, dog herders, woodworkers, keyboard nerds, potters, and more - and we can't wait to meet you! #J-18808-Ljbffr

  • Software Engineer, Full Stack San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY | Remote

    Usestable

    Remote job

Our mission is to make it simple to headquarter any business on the internet. Today, we provide companies with a business address and a dashboard to manage their physical mail online. Over 10,000+ companies like Gitlab, Glassdoor, and Indiegogo use Stable to automate their mailroom and act as their permanent business address with the IRS, state, and vendors. The rules that regulate US entities were written in the 1800s. Stable abstracts these antiquated requirements with tools that empower modern companies to move forward faster. These rules don't make sense for the way we work today - work takes place in the cloud and businesses are no longer tied to physical proximity or geography. We're on a mission to fix the broken system of entity management. Starting with business addresses and mail, we're abstracting the complex, archaic systems that make company-building painful and turning them into delightful experiences - so that modern businesses have the tools they need to move forward faster. We're backed by leading Silicon Valley investors like Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, Shakti, Hustle Fund, and founders from companies like Lattice, Apartment List, and FlexJobs. Our business is at an inflection point. We're growing quickly with a product people love and we've proven we can service companies of all stages and industries - from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies in industries like technology, logistics, and property management. This is an opportunity to join an early-stage startup as one of the first employees and do work that directly impacts the future of how companies are built. We're looking for a full stack engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our small team and help us build the software backbone of modern business infrastructure. Supporting over 10,000 businesses with a lean team means we focus on impact. Engineers talk to users, identify real-world bottlenecks, and ship code that unlocks speed and scale. There's no one handing you tickets - you'll define what matters, then build it. You'll work across the stack - frontend, backend, and occasionally hardware - to build software that abstracts away outdated and painful business operations. You'll have a direct hand in shaping the core systems that power our product and logistics. Some examples of what you might work on: Stable Dashboard - The main interface our customers use to triage mail and take action. From forwarding documents to triggering internal workflows, it's a daily tool for founders, ops teams, and finance leaders. Mail Operations Tools - Internal software that powers how we intake, route, and fulfill physical mail requests. You'll write code that integrates directly with scanners, label printers, and other hardware to help our ops team move faster and with fewer errors. Automation & AI - Use LLMs and rule-based systems to process incoming mail, extract relevant information, and automate next steps - from routing to support to operations. Stable API & Webhooks - Design and maintain a reliable, well-documented API and webhook system that external teams use to integrate with Stable. Supports high-volume use cases in fintech, healthcare, logistics, and more. This role is for someone who enjoys building practical products that solve real problems. You're comfortable with ambiguity, ask questions, and ship code with clear, measurable impact. You thrive in a collaborative team and value open communication and joint problem-solving. What you value Be human: Lead with empathy, act with authenticity, and enjoy what you do. Stay curious: Invent novel solutions by asking why, listening, and tinkering. Act quickly with purpose: Focus on what matters, iteratively improve, and move urgently towards the goal. Insist on exceptional outcomes: Strive for excellence and take ownership over the outcomes you deliver. Exceed customer expectations: Create delightful experiences with each interaction. What you'll do Obsess over the customer to build pragmatic and effective solutions to their problems Architect and implement core infrastructure as we scale with growing customer and product demand Design software that solves real-world logistics challenges - often involving both automation and human-in-the-loop workflows Lead end-to-end implementation of features, balancing technical complexity with input from customers, operations, and the business Technologies we use: React, Typescript, Node, GraphQL, MySQL, and AWS (if you think a new technology can solve an engineering problem, we're all ears) What we offer Competitive salary and generous equity Unlimited paid time off Medical, dental, and vision insurance Home office set-up Work from anywhere within continental US time zones (PT, MT, CT, or ET) Opportunities to shape the future of Stable and grow into leadership roles #J-18808-Ljbffr

    Ivo

    Remote job

Engineering at Ivo Engineers at Ivo are inventors. Ivo was first‑to‑market with: An AI agent that lives in MS Word and edits the document for you [2023] Ditching imprecise embeddings models in favor of agentic RAG [2023] Large‑scale LLM‑based legal fact extraction [2024] A legal assistant that can search large contract databases, without sacrificing accuracy [2024] Clustering legal documents descended from the same family [2025] Automatic deviation analysis to locate buried risk in huge contract databases [2025] Merging contracts with their amendments to make a time series of “composite” contracts (a customer actually cried when we showed her this) [2025] Role Infrastructure Engineers build the foundation for Ivo's entire platform. We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to: Own and shape the future of our environment. We still have a relatively minimal footprint, giving you a lot of freedom to design the system. Manage dozens, hundreds, thousands (or more) of customer deployments. Customers are cagey about their contracts, so each customer gets their own containers, database, VPC, etc. It's a lot to orchestrate. Instrument our system so we understand performance bottlenecks, errors, etc. Aggregate metrics/logs/health checks into slick dashboards and pager alerts. Be on call and lead infrastructure related incidents. Get our CI/CD system running super quickly (it currently takes ~12 minutes, boo). In addition to helping us run a solid, high‑performance distributed system, we'd love someone who's as excited about LLMs as we are. You'd be deeply embedded into the engineering team and encouraged to push the DevOps frontier by, for example: Developing on‑the‑fly LLM evals to monitor the real‑time accuracy of our responses. Building autonomous agents to detect and diagnose production issues before they become major fires. Any other useful stuff you can think of. Mission Every major business has an in‑house legal team, and all of those lawyers are overworked. 80 hour weeks, tight deadlines and contract‑reading death marches are the industry norm. Up until recently, there wasn't anything technology could do to help this situation. LLMs have given us the ability to give these lawyers their lives back, and at Ivo, that's our mission. We're building an AI‑native platform to automate legal drudgery. People love our software ― despite high competition, we have the highest trial win rate on the market (85%). We're genuinely improving people's lives, and we're only just getting started. Ivo might be a good fit for you if you: You love writing code, but you love having impact more: We're a team of engineers at heart, but our #1 goal is building the best possible product. That means making pragmatic choices and looking for 80/20 solutions. You would describe yourself as being relentlessly resourceful. You have a strong internal sense of urgency. You have a bias towards doing things *today*, rather than tomorrow. Experience working in a startup environment is preferred but not required. Are excited about the adventure of building a company! FAQ How far along are we? We launched in early access in 2023. Since then, we've had an incredible response from the market and are growing rapidly. We 5x'd in ARR in the last 12 months. Our clients include companies like Canva, Quora, Zapier, Pinterest, Reddit, WordPress, and more. We're happy to share more details with candidates who go through our interview process. Can I work remotely? We have an in‑office culture, with some hybrid flexibility. Compensation: The USD salary range for this role is $225K-$485K. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above. #J-18808-Ljbffr
