As Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will coordinate and manage the sourcing and supplier processes within a plant or local product line. This is done through managing sourcing activities for indirect and direct, brand-specific suppliers, using standard sourcing processes and systems. This is a remote opportunity with 25% travel.
You will:
Assists in the attainment of GMO direct and indirect savings projects as well as Sourcing actions and NPI gate requirements based on the global NPI process, ensuring overall prices meet or exceed plant savings goals. Contributes to the development and execution of sourcing strategies, monitoring market movements, negotiating contracts and agreements, working with a broad base of business groups, and resolving issues with suppliers.Manages the supplier readiness matrix for plant NPI projects and ensures timely task completion, with Supply Chain Manager support as needed.Position works closely with the Supply Chain Manager supporting more strategic, complex, or specialized categories.Works in parallel with Materials/Supply Chain/Operations on 1) Resolving short- and medium-term supply disruptions, by coordinating the problem identification and initial assessment; 2) Coordinating the internal response to each supply disruption and establishing the cross-functional connections and teams needed to fully define each problem and outline a path to resolution, mitigation, and/or interim supply; 3) Developing processes and tools which enhance and accelerate the responses to supply disruptions.

Key Qualifications:
4+ years of progressive experience in Supplier ManagementBusiness experience with a proven track record preferably in high volume, repetitive, manufacturing sourcing Prior purchasing experience and industry knowledge, preferably in FSG major commodity category areas.Good quantitative, analytical, and financial skills.Ability to effectively negotiate and influence.

You will:

• Partner with Technical Recruiters and hiring managers to understand the requirements of the role and how it fits into the organization
• Build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, and sourcing campaigns
• Source and identify passive candidates to build a pipeline of high potential talent
• Build relationships with candidates and guide them through the process
• Track data to ensure you're investing in sources with the highest ROI
• Collaborate with Recruiters and Coordinators to manage an efficient model of operation

You should have:

• 5+ years of experience sourcing engineering talent in-house, search firm, or agency
• Experience working with and building sourcing strategies with Recruiters and hiring managers
• Experience developing and executing candidate generation and research techniques
• Experience screening resumes and matching qualifications
• Experience engaging and activating passive candidates
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree

We are looking for a talented **Sourcing Specialist Senior, Casting** to join our team specializing in **Purchasing** for our **Corporate Business Unit/CBS Business Segment** in **Columbus, IN** or your **approved remote location** .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

+ Category Strategy Development - Establishes category strategy using Total Value Performance approach to define the Supply Base and Technology Strategy to meet all current and future Cummins' needs.

+ Sourcing - Utilizes the purchasing functional system to support the Request For Quote process.

+ Cost Management - Establishes and controls product and service costs using functional tools to deliver and track product and services at competitive prices; ensures competitiveness of Cummins products in our markets while preserving desired margins.

+ Supplier Relationship Management.

**Qualifications**

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

+ College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.

+ At least three years of professional experience in Purchasing, Sourcing or similar discipline.

+ Implement the casting sourcing strategy in North America and work with global team on dual sourcing implementation.

+ Identify capable casting suppliers in North America for critical parts.
