ABSC is seeking a Clinical Data Modeler with a security clearance level, at minimum, Public Trust - Tier 2 in support of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Coordination and Operations Response Element (H-CORE) in Washington, D.C./hybrid This team has been tasked to lead, coordinate, and synchronize federal pandemic and natural disaster preparations and response in order to enhance and accelerate the ability of the U.S. Government to protect the health and safety of the U.S. population before and during a global infectious disease outbreak. Location: Candidate must reside in the National Capital Region; work is on‑site Washington, D.C. with some telework opportunities. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Assist the project team with the development and proper execution of plans and operations that successfully fulfill the goals of the medical countermeasures enterprise. Develop and assist with the management of the project tasks to assist with the prioritization of project tasks and ensure that key tasks are not forgotten when priorities change. Guide and organize comprehensive logistical operations for the different logistical requirements of the medical countermeasures enterprise. Review and provide recommendations for material assignment requirements for the medical countermeasures enterprise. Review existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and flow charts and update them as needed. Work with open‑source data, public health information, and third‑party vendor data. Retrieve reports from system of record and analyze them. Participate in required planning and coordination calls. Communicate information effectively both orally and written (e.g., briefing presentations, technical documents, etc.). Provide periodic update reports to PMs. Research, conduct, and deliver recurring and ad hoc analyses and regularly required analytic products to support the medical countermeasures enterprise operations and decision support to the H-CORE Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ensure level of effort & completeness of analytic products to ensure products meet the highest standards. Collaborate with Engineering Staff to conduct required analyses from datasets on the Palantir/Tiberius platform. Support long‑range modeling efforts to determine demand and where there are forecasts for supply gaps or concerns. Prioritize tasks when requested by the H-CORE COO, Deputy COO, or Analytics leadership. Experience Required for this Role: Possess at least three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience using AI/ML for modeling. Experience with programming tools such as Python and R. Possess strong organizational skills (e.g., time management, communication, setting goals, delegation, working under pressure, self‑motivation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail). Possess proficiency in written and oral communications. Demonstrate advanced analysis skills using Tableau, PowerBI, Excel or a similar analytic tool, including the ability to perform conditional summations, data indexing and matching, data error identification and cleaning, conditional formatting, table referencing and lookups, data filtering, data visualization, and use of pivot tables. Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated experience facilitating collaboration across multiple workstreams. Working knowledge of remote/virtual meeting environments such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx. Education Required: A bachelor's degree with coursework in statistics and/or data analysis. Course work may be traded off for relevant years or work experience. Desired: Master's degree in Data Analytics or related field. Clearance: Public Trust - Tier 2 Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Approximate salary range for this position is $70k to $120k annual.
