This unique partnership provides a solid foundation for AT&T to successfully perform the requirements identified in the USSS Network/Data and Voice Services Statement of Work (SOW). AT&T has an opening for one (1) Senior Network Engineer/Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the USSS. This is on-site, downtown DC.

We are looking for an individual who excels in fast paced environments and seeks out learning new technologies. Specifically, we are looking for Senior Network Engineer/SME with Juniper and Cisco network operating systems skills. The successful candidate should have experience with dynamic routing protocols, route policies, infrastructure hardening, Spanning-tree, VLANs, and IPSEC are all a plus. Additionally, experience with Cisco and Juniper firewalls is also a plus.

This role is an on-site dedicated full-time telecommunications engineering Senior Network Engineer/SME at the USSS HQ. In this role, the SME will act as the technical interface for AT&T with the USSS NOSC and engineering staff. The SME will also be the single point of contact (SPOC) interacting with USSS program personnel and with the OEM professional services staff, that USSS obtains outside of the scope of this solicitation, to coordinate efforts and resolve problems related to the services under this task order (TO1). The Senior Network Engineer/SME will be on site during prime hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) to rapidly resolve issues.
**Job Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solutioning of advanced system requirements and problems

+ Plans, develops and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects

+ Coordinates the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects

+ Develops investigations and tests of considerable complexity

+ Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.

+ Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management

+ Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

  • Serve as the Senior Network Architect Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the NetCentrics information technology (IT) support efforts for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP)
