Senior supply chain analyst job description

Supply Chain Technology (SCT) innovates to get physical and digital products to our customers quickly and efficiently. We build, support, and extend the systems that manage order fulfillment, transportation, warehouse operations, and inventory placement across our FCs and thousands of retail nodes. We have a rapidly evolving fulfillment network and are looking for Senior WMS developers who are passionate about operational excellence and efficiency. They will be the subject matter experts and know exactly how to translate business process into WMS execution. Prior experience in the supply chain space is must for this role.
This is a remote or hybrid role with occasional travel to FCs and Dallas HQ.

Responsibilities
Your primary activities will consist of understanding the operational processes within the supply chain network and ensuring that the Warehouse Management system and related applications and integrations are meeting the needs of the business. You will be the hands-on application subject matter expert.You will assist the Field Support team to ensure fulfillment operations are operating smoothly. Where changes are required, you will drive innovative solutions through implementation and support.You are expected to operate with a high level of autonomy, and your approaches reflect mature judgment and good instincts with a customer-first mentality. You provide technical leadership through your ideas, design reviews, configuration, and coding solutions, and driving the SDLC.
You grow and mentor less experienced analysts and Field Support team resources.You will collaborate with peer teams and build relationships with our business stakeholders to further our product and technical roadmaps. You will educate our Distribution Operators to best utilize our Warehouse Applications.You will provide application support to our Distribution Operators when problems arise.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of non-internship professional WMS software configuration, extension, and support experience. 5+ years of Hands-on WMS experience supporting similar operations running Manhattan WM iSeries (PKMS).Experience with other WMS platforms is also beneficial.Good understanding of WMS integration with host systems.Experience with configuring and supporting material handling equipment of various types and vendors.Skilled in SQL and data analysis, and the ability to relate data to business process. Experience with SDLC processes like, including coding standards, code reviews, source code control management, build processes, testing, and operational support. Experience mentoring growing and advancing less experienced support analysts. Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to explain complex concepts to others at varying levels of expertise throughout the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on Multiple End-to-End implementations of WMS and other warehouse applications.Report Building for use by Distribution and Transportation Operations users.Demonstrated leadership with regard to operational excellence.
Experience as a SME and technical partner in complex cross-team programs.

Reporting to the Manager of Data & Analytics you will support the implementation, enhancement and maintenance of analytics and reporting that supports the Supply Chain/Logistics/Customer Order Management organizations. Perform the necessary analysis and design tasks associated with developing and deploying business reporting solutions. You will complete individual reporting/analytics projects or service projects of moderate size, complexity and impact and support assigned portions of projects and systems through direct contact with business functional users. Demonstrate full understanding of the basic relationships of related systems and the business processes.

What you'll have:

Mission - Purpose of the Job

As Senior Analyst Supply Chain, your overall mission will be to provide analytical tools, metrics, and analyses that measure the progress and service levels of the Supply Chain and Manufacturing. You will use your advanced query and systems expertise across multiple operational and analytical systems to perform analyses to report on opportunities for performance improvement. To perform this role you'll need a strong background in information systems, expertise in SQL, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to build models.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

* Lead initiatives with business users and analysts to develop reporting on supply chain, manufacturing and service metrics relating to manufacturing and Rx order management
* Design and execute database queries in various systems including SAP, LMS, BusinessObjects and other reporting databases to capture required data
* Summarize the results of queries in a common format
* Maintain accuracy and frequency of the reports with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leaders
* Establish processes for ongoing daily / weekly / monthly distribution of reports
* Regularly publish the reports
* Build and maintain metrics databases allowing for trend reporting
* Monitor the effectiveness of the reports and coordinate improvements as required
* Analyze operations for improvement opportunities
* Contact and establish effective relationships with various sources of data within EssilorLuxottica retail, wholesale and Ecommerce
* Analyze results for trends and opportunities using appropriate tools
* Dig deeper as required to get actionable data
* Develop root cause reporting based on anomalies
* Track trends' root cause; tie to improvement in results

Basic Qualifications

To qualify for the role of Senior Analyst Supply Chain, you will have:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or similar, or equivalent experience
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. We may also consider outstanding new graduates with an internship or similar experience.
* Expertise in database query tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, SAW BW/BI, LMS/SLNR)
* Expertise in data analysis and presentation tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

* Comfort multitasking and working on a broad range of assignments
* A sense of urgency and drive for results; ability to quickly deliver fairly accurate results without getting hindered by a need to deliver perfect results
* Good communication skills and ability to work with business users to further initiatives and use tools
* Experience with AI data modeling a plus
