**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. You will be mainly accountable for: • Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks. • Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables. • Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables. • Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings. • Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
Qualifications for the role
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. Paper Science or related field preferred.
* 2+ years of industrial/related experience required.
* Travel 60% of the time.

The Senior Engineer is the 4th level of progression on the Engineering Technical Career Path for individuals who have demonstrated requisite fulfillment of high-competency in engineering skills and aptitude. The position of Senior Engineer is intended for individuals who aspire to reach the highest levels of technical expertise. This role can be linked to either a specific product line to technical discipline. A suffix designating a distinction to a technical discipline or equipment line is customary (i.e. Senior Engineer, Aerodynamics or Senior Engineer, Axial Compressors.) The Senior Engineer will lead projects involving the inspection, disposition, modeling and design calculations associated with multiple equipment lines. The Senior Engineer will serve as a mentor to lesser-experienced engineers for the purpose of knowledge sharing and training in their focused area of expertise. Daily responsibilities typically involve approval of inspection results, approval of drawings and layouts, writing technical reports, performance of design calculations, electronic modeling of components, and presentation of results to a wide range of individuals both within and outside the organization. The Senior Engineer will be expected to develop new and novel approaches to problem solving by staying abreast of the latest industry trends and available technologies. Individuals will also be expected to technically lead remote projects that may include travel to other physical locations in performing field investigations, inspections or to render engineering disposition. Individuals at the Senior Engineer level are expected to have a working understanding of the field operation of equipment and relate that operation back to their design inputs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a technical leader in the design, development, and analysis of product designs which meet the function, cost, reliability, manufacturability and safety requirements of RMS.
Continuously hone engineering skills to the highest level.
Provide guidance to lower-graded engineers, share knowledge and serve as mentor.
Lead engineering analyses for projects to include complex designs and advanced calculations.
Independently review inspection reports and render engineering dispositions in accordance with established standards.
Continuously improve design techniques for efficiency and accuracy.
Provide guidance to designers on 2D and 3D CAD layout creation and machine redesign.
Review and approve detail design drawings and machine layouts.
Exhibit high-proficiency in running engineering software such as 3D CAD modeling design software and/or specialized software particular to a specific technical discipline such as aerodynamics, Rotodynamics or Structural Analysis.
Demonstrate proficiency in the fundamental technical disciplines of Rotordynamics, Structural Analysis, Aerodynamics, and possibly begin to develop an expertise in one of those areas.
Be capable of leading remote field installation and start-up of equipment.
Work within budgets, schedules and resources on multiple projects.
Effectively communicate information across all levels of the organization as well as externally to customers and the industrial community.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated proficiency with the engineering technical disciplines of RMS product lines.
Proficiency with fundamental design aspects and operation of the full range of RMS' entire product line.
Demonstrated proficiency with specialized design tools and software utilized within RMS. With specialization in at least one notable technical discipline.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: 4 year Engineering Degree (mechanical preferred). Advanced degree is beneficial.
Training Requirements: High proficiency with solid modeling software (Soldworks preferred), computational analytical tools (such as ANSYS), specialized RMS design application software, and general office software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
OTHER INFORMATION:
Travel may be required. Travel time is expected to be between 5% - 15%.
This is a full-time position based in our Menasha, WI office. There is a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Additional hours including evenings or weekends may be required based on engineering or project needs.

Position Summary:
The Department of Radio TV Film at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is seeking applications for a Broadcast and IT Engineer. This position provides routine maintenance and repair of Radio TV Film equipment and facilities under the supervision of the Broadcast Operations Manager. Provide engineering services, technical guidance, and instruction in the support of all academic classes and on-going student productions. Provide technical support and maintenance for the university FM radio station, cable TV station and academic production and post-production facilities.

Responsibilities
Installs, operates, and maintains studio and remote production equipment including computers, servers, and networks to ensure high quality programming and compliance with FCC regulations
Creates and maintains accurate documentation for operating procedures
Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems. Makes recommendations for technical and security improvements
Supervise student broadcast activities, including instructing students in the use of technical equipment such as remote cameras, video recorders, editing equipment, and remote radio equipment. Oversee equipment checkout to staff and students, scheduling and issuing equipment.
Plan for, set up equipment and attend live remote broadcasts as assigned including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Required:
BA/BS in engineering, computer science, radio TV film or a related field.
Experience required in digital technology for broadcast and/or production.
Demonstrated knowledge of server-based and broadcast IT infrastructure.
Must possess a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and carry equipment short distances, and be able to bend, crawl and kneel behind and beneath equipment installations.
