Toyota's Body Weld Pilot Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Equipment and Process Senior Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead equipment and process development for new model projects through structure evaluation Including mentoring Pilot Engineers. What you'll be doing Lead structure evaluation for the body panels during project development phase and support teaching design structure evaluation to other Body Weld pilot engineers. Lead evaluations of equipment design specifications for new models to meet human design standards, deliver repeatable body accuracy, and meet productivity requirements. Responsible for coordinating & managing all aspects of projects including OP management, budget justification, Ringi development, scheduling, installation and confirmation and final handover to production. Strategy development and direction setting for best practices and new systems that will strengthen Body Weld pilot procedures. Training and development of new Body Weld pilot engineers on all aspects of the pilot process, including body accuracy, structure evaluation, equipment development & installation. What you bring 2-year degree (or higher) in manufacturing or engineering related field or 5 years of pre-production/manufacturing experience Ability to provide direction to engineers on project management, process RJ (Ryohn Joken) setting and process production support on safety, quality and productivity issues. Experience working with Quality Engineering, Weld, Paint, or Assembly on projects or overall plant specific objectives. Experience in equipment specifications, design, install and validation. Proficient understanding of cross-functional collaboration between various groups in Body Weld. Intermediate knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations and MS Project for schedules). Strong analytical, critical, logical thinking skills. Experience managing multiple projects and tasks, and prioritizing work. Knowledge of body accuracy & part design impact to assembly & paint process. This position requires weekend work, holiday shutdown work, and confirmation support to allow for smooth restart of production. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%. This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
