At Edward Jones we are developing a next-generation data architecture to support our growing business. As part of the Data Management area, you will contribute to the design of a future state cloud-based data warehouse architecture that will power Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics across the firm. You will also act as a solutions engineer for new analytics efforts that involve data modeling and delivery. Your designs will account for data movement, storage, compute, BI consumption, and will comply with security and data governance standards. What you'll do
Solution Architecture & Design
Architect highly resilient and geo-redundant data platforms leveraging Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
Design disaster recovery and failover strategies using Azure Availability Zones, geo-redundant storage accounts, and cross-region replication.
Document architecture using Markdown, GitHub, Erwin Data Modeler, and data flow diagrams.
Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns, and roadmaps to mature our data architecture practice.
Understand and translate business requirements to data strategies that align with overall technology vision
Data Modeling & Engineering
Create logical (semi-dimensional, dimensional) and physical data models for cloud-based platforms.
Implement data lakehouse architectures and optimize performance for large-scale analytics workloads.
Azure Infrastructure & Governance
Ensure compliance with enterprise data architecture standards, security policies, and cloud governance frameworks.
Apply Azure best practices for networking, identity, encryption, and monitoring.
Optimize cost, scalability, and performance of data platforms in Azure.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with Product Owners, Analysts, and system/data stewards to understand requirements and upstream processes.

Participate in solution reviews and provide guidance on cloud-native architecture patterns.
