Our Power SystemsEngineer II (Model Engineering) will help guide the effort to collect information from our transmission owners and market participants to build the data models for MISO's systems that run, protect, and plan the future of the electric grid.
You will be part of an experienced and diverse team foundational to achieving MISO's core vision of being the most reliable, value-creating RTO and play a crucial role in setting the direction for the future of the Market Model building process.
As a Power SystemsEngineer II (Model Engineering), you will also have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects at MISO to implement a Model Management System, upgrade our Energy Management System, improve the Day-Ahead and Real-Time Market System, and incorporate Distributed Energy Resources into the MISO planning, operations, and market systems.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $91,000-$116,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering will work as a member of the Automation Engineering Department at Eli Lilly, Foundry. Perform engineering, statistical, and economic analyses on market operations and outcomes
Understand how MISO's market systems work and interact
Assess market health, report events, and validate outcomes against design requirements
Collect and analyze data to identify trends and patterns

Use visualization tools to clearly communicate findings
Present recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
Streamline and automate analytical processes

Skills and experience needed for our SeniorEngineer:

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $124,000-$149,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
