This includes but not limited to Cloud Foundation, ESXi, vSphere, NSX, Aria Suite, and Site Recovery Manager, supporting the FBI's on-premises cloud and virtualized environments. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Infrastructure Design & Implementation· Design, implement, and support on-premises cloud infrastructure and software-defined data centers (SDDC) for both bare-metal and virtual machines.· Configure SAN, network, and local storage using OEM and third-party tools, including virtual storage services.· Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all VMware environments.· Automation & Optimization· Automate provisioning and configuration of server and storage resources using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) tools.· Write and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.· System Monitoring & Maintenance· Monitor and resolve storage issues, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures.· Install, configure, and maintain system management tools and server plugins.· Ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure through proactive monitoring, testing, and redundancy strategies.· Security & Compliance· Evaluate and enhance information security across the virtual infrastructure.· Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.· Integrate systems with Windows and Linux environments, including multi-factor authentication using FBI-standard tools.· Documentation & Support· Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including system configurations, inventory, patch levels, and access controls.· Provide 3rd-level support and collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for issue resolution.· Deliver real-time reporting on resource utilization and system performance metrics.· Train and assist government staff in using technologies, following industry best practices.
