We are searching for a dynamic Senior Manager, Direct Tax. Building and maintaining a best-in-class Tax function are core to what will make Gopuff successful. This role will be a critical member of the Tax team and will report to the VP, Tax & Treasury.

You WillMaintain and enhance the Income tax provision & compliance processes Manage and oversee various co-sourced service providers who prepare income tax compliance, including ensuring proper workpaper documentation for audit support Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual information is provided to the co-sourced service provider Review book-to tax differences, tax attributes, and related forms. Analyze provision-to-return differences and explain significant variances.Coordinate, manage and prepare responses to tax authorities.Coordinate with Legal regarding Annual Reports, Franchise Taxes, etc. Research transaction tax issues and provide guidance based on research of tax laws and regulations. Draft supporting memoranda.Develop and manage Tax Calendar, including processing electronic payments and checks Work in a dynamic tax environment with focus on global Direct tax matters (including international) such as new business initiatives, M&A, contract reviews, legislative analyses, implementation of tax technology and general technical direct tax questions Keep abreast of technical issues related to Federal, state, and local tax developments Develop a working knowledge of the group transfer pricing methodology to ensure appropriate financial reporting and tax return filing positions

Job purpose
Become a key contributing member of the Liberty Global Tax Department headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Primary focus is projects related to international tax compliance (Forms 5471, 8865, and 8858), some domestic compliance (Form 1120 and 1065), foreign tax credit and joint tax planning/compliance projects. In addition, the U.S. Tax Compliance Director may assign ad hoc projects, as needed.

Key Accountabilities
Support the review of all international tax aspects of the international tax compliance filings including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1120F, and 1118, as well as related disclosures and filings.Support the review of all domestic tax aspects of the U.S. Consolidated Income Tax Returns and Partnership tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1065, and related disclosures and filings.Support review of, and advise U.S. Tax Compliance Director on, international elements of U.S. tax return, especially as it relates to implemented tax planning, acquisition integration and dispositions.Has leadership role in U.S. Tax group; will have decision-making responsibility when delegated and as directed by the U.S. Tax Compliance Director. Foster environment of continuous improvement to streamline information gathering and return preparation/review process.Manage and complete tax related compliance projects; manage joint compliance/strategy projects.Collaborate with respect to income tax planning functions to properly document, account for and report tax implications of completed transactions, implemented strategies and tax positions taken.Support income tax examinations, especially the international aspects of the U.S. tax audit.
