As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will prepare federal and state tax returns. This will be a hands-on role reporting into the Tax Director.
Work from home 2 days per week
Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for C-corp, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
Assist with the development/implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities
Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries
Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and communicate any changes or updates to the appropriate stakeholders
Work collaboratively with external tax advisors and consultants as needed

Job Summary:
Prepare Quarterly and year-end tax provision, federal, state and local tax returns. Maintain internal controls for SOX 404 compliance. Timely file federal, state and local tax returns. Assist in financial accounting for income tax on quarterly and annual basis.
What you will contribute:
* Maintains knowledge of relevant Internal Revenue Code sections and related regulations, state tax rules and regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant tax and accounting regulations.
* Prepares governmental tax returns and claims for tax refunds.
* Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provision, including SOX internal control procedures and financial statement tax footnote disclosures.
* Maintains organization's tax records and files.
* Minimizes tax liability through efficient and thorough application of current tax law in the filing of all applicable tax returns.
* Avoids penalties and interest by maintaining adherence to internal controls, tax calendar, and policy.
* Investigates and responds to notices from various taxing authorities.
* Reconciles general ledger accounts relating to corporate income, franchise, and other tax, including deferred tax and payable/receivable accounts.
* Researches tax issues, applies results to Veradigm, and writes professional memos to establish and support tax positions.
* Interacts with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits.
* Completes special projects assigned by management

What you'll do:
Responsible for the preparation and processing of exempt (biweekly) multi-state payroll from end to end using Workday and OSV with minimal or no errors.

Proficient and capable of independently handling all types of tax notices, as well as state and local registrations.
Handle all types of address changes notifications, assess tax implications, and respond to queries regarding required tax forms, ensuring the correct forms are completed as needed.
In-depth understanding of local taxes and termination laws of different states.
Partner in all Quarterly and Year- End audits.
Proficient in independently handling prior quarter and year tax adjustments in Workday and completing the amendment process with the payroll provider.
In- depth knowledge of Equity and ESPP payroll handling process, tax implications and IRS regulations.
In-depth knowledge of W-2 and income reporting to independently handle employee tax filing inquiries.
Provide training to the team on tax-related topics and address changes related queries as needed, serving as a backup to the Payroll Director when required.
What you'll need:
Mandatory Qualifications
7+ years of progressive payroll administration experience in Workday, with Workday serving as the primary and most recent payroll system of record.
7+ years of experience independently handling tax notices and managing all types of state and local tax registrations including PA, Ohio, Kentucky LST taxes
A minimum of three years of experience supporting finance and accounting with month end closing and reconciliation queries.
Experience in ticketing systems (i.e., Fresh Service, Zendesk).
Ability to prioritize (and re-prioritize) as business needs change.
Experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders, independently leading meetings as needed, and providing back-up support to the Payroll Director to ensure team continuity when required.

Position Summary: The Tax Manager plays a critical role within the Finance organization and serves as a key partner in managing the Company's global tax profile. We are looking for a Sr. Tax Analyst to join our Global Tax Department and support various tax matters. The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting the company's income tax compliance, tax accounting, and other tax-related projects. This role involves preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local income workpapers and tax returns, preparing quarterly and annual tax provision processes, assisting with transfer pricing calculation and documentation, and supporting various tax planning and process improvement initiatives.
This role will report to Tax Manager/Sr. Tax Manager and interact with different domestic and international stakeholders and cross-functional teams and communicate with external vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of corporate income taxation, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local income workpapers and tax returns, including extensions and estimated tax payments.
Analyze and review tax data to identify discrepancies, variances and trends.
Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and workpapers in accordance with ASC 740.
Perform tax account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger tax balances.
Preform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, analysis and intercompany calculations.
Support preparation of transfer pricing documentation (Master File, Local File, intercompany analysis, benchmarking).
Prepare and file property tax returns and renditions for real and personal property.
Prepare state annual reports, business license and payroll tax registrations or renewals.
Support responses to notices and audits from taxing authorities.
Maintain tax compliance calendar to ensure all filing deadlines are met.
Assist with sales tax reconciliations and filings, as needed.
Monitor and analyze tax regulatory developments, tax law changes, and other authoritative guidance, including research and document related tax impact as needed.
Support tax planning projects, M&A due diligence, tax technology tool implementation, system upgrades, internal control documentation, and ad-hoc tax projects including research and documentation.

Qualifications:
