Our cyber technologies division, part of our cyber risk practice, is looking for a hands-on penetration tester who will support our clients identify vulnerabilities in external and internal facing infrastructure and recommend remediation strategies to counter threat actors proactively.


Lead penetration testing engagements unsupervised. Draft and contribute to report deliverables listing findings and remediation actions. Interact with client to finalize the deliverables.

Support business development activities by providing subject matter expertise and scoping engagements for timely delivery of penetration tests. Contribute to development of delivery artifacts and methodology to keep up with the evolving cyber threat landscape.

o Bachelor's Degree in a related Cybersecurity/IT/Computer Science field

o 3-5 years of experience conducting internal and external penetration tests, and web application penetration tests

o Holistic understanding of network security and today's most-used security frameworks.

o Experience working with the following tools; Kali Linux, BurpSuite, Bloodhound, Impacket, Metasploit, Covenant, Cobalt Strike, SQLmap, Hak5 tools.

o Scripting/programming skills (Ex. Python, PowerShell, C#, C).

o Experience with infrastructure and configuration management tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.

o Knowledge of Wireless Penetration Testing.

o Knowledge of Social Engineering Techniques and strategies.

o Knowledge of deploying Phishing campaigns (Lucy, GoPhish).

o Experience with Web Application Penetration Testing (OWASP)

o Excellent technical writing skills for penetration testing reporting.

o Comfortable leading penetration testing sales calls for scoping and estimates, and status calls to brief clients on engagement progress.

o Experience with modern end point detection evasion techniques.

o Code review skills are a bonus.

o Physical penetration testing skills are a bonus.

o Ability to travel to client site

What you'll do day-to-day:

As an Internal Audit Senior Associate - Technology, you will partner with IA leaders to identify areas of risk, document and test controls and make valuable recommendations that support improvements to the control environment. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver audits, assessments and advisory projects for the Crypto, Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Data teams
  • Support the execution of the internal audits with quality
  • Prepare audit documentation including, risk and control matrices, flowcharts, narratives, testing documentation, findings and recommendations
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities with business teams to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
  • Evaluate controls in order to identify potential gaps and areas of improvement
  • Monitor resolution of audit findings and conduct post-remediation validation
  • Maintain the audit framework, process and tools
  • Implement continuous improvement in our internal controls
  • Facilitate internal and external communications, including interacting with external auditors
  • Manage ad-hoc initiatives and projects that support Internal Audit program development

This role will be located in Menlo Park, California and will report into Senior Manager of Tech & Crypto Audits.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of audit experience
  • 2+ years of financial services or high tech industry experience
  • Experience in end-to-end audit cycle management
  • Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks including COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001 etc.
  • Critical technical skills - Familiarity with source code management systems and continuous integration processes
  • SQL and Python / Go code readability or experience
  • Familiarity with “Infrastructure as code” processes
