Sr. Manager, Product Manager - Technical will be responsible for owning the technical roadmap for key technology initiatives across Amazon hiring. The TechnicalDirector is responsible for switching fast paced live news, pre‑taped shows and segments, and original programming which may include live special events. The TD is a leader among the technical crew in the control room who communicates effectively with our editorial, engineering, and design partners. Your Role Accountabilities…
Switch fast‑paced live news broadcasts, pre‑productions and taped programs on a Grass Valley Kayenne switcher.
Accurately receive instructions from Director to call up cameras, remotes, graphics, video, still images, and various other sources. Route sources/images to studio monitors.
Occasionally direct short interviews or other tapings.
Build visual effects using production switcher.
Catalog and organize effects for easy recall by TD team.
Perform general operator level maintenance as required to maintain equipment operation.
Offer creative ideas to Directors, Producers, Engineers and Management to help to create new workflows.
Collaborate with Graphics department and editorial partners.
Communicate with management on goals and/or training needs to ensure perpetual growth and progression in skillset.
Stay abreast of industry advancements and new technology.
Document all on/off air & equipment discrepancies.
Actively contribute to SOP, workflow, and show report documentation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Organizational Leadership (US ↔ Korea)
Lead a distributed engineering org (heavily weighted in Seoul).
Design lightweight processes (RFCs, async standups, written specs) that bridge time zones without slowing momentum.
Partner with CPO/CTO to translate high-level product vision into actionable technical roadmaps.
Hire and mentor senior talent in both the US and Korea; create clear career ladders that work across both regions.
2. Execution & Delivery
Own the SDLC. Move us toward predictable, continuous delivery.
Instill a culture of "Written-First" communication to minimize language friction and maximize clarity.
Balance feature velocity with technical debt reduction and infrastructure investments.
3. Technical Stewardship
Oversee the health of our JS/Python monorepo and AWS infrastructure.
Set standards for code quality, security, and testing (Unit/E2E).
Ensure our architecture supports strict security/compliance requirements (we will teach you the specific regulations like HIPAA/SOC2).
Requirements
Must Haves
8+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years managing managers or leading multiple teams.
Technical Gravity: You are not coding daily, but you can confidently review architecture (System Design, API contracts, Data Models) and call out risks.
Modern Web DNA: Deep familiarity with the modern JavaScript/Python ecosystem (you know why TypeScript matters and how to manage a monorepo).
Work authorization in the US is required; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Strongly Preferred
Korean fluency (spoken/written) is strongly preferred but not required. Most of our engineering team is Seoul-based, and this role is most effective when you can build trust and handle day-to-day leadership in Korean. If you're not fluent, you'll need exceptional written communication and cross-cultural leadership; we support translation tools and written-first workflows.
High-Reliability Background: Experience in Healthtech, Fintech, AdTech, Logistics, or Cybersecurity. You understand that "move fast and break things" doesn't work when user integrity and reliability is mission-critical. Experience in healthcare, particularly on the clinical side of health technology, is highly valued.
Proven track record leading distributed teams between the US and Asia (ideally Korea, but open to strong experience with India, China, or Vietnam). You understand the nuance of high-context vs. low-context communication.
Comfort with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., using LLMs to accelerate prototyping, refactoring, and documentation).

Experience with EHR integrations (Epic/Cerner/FHIR).

Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders in customer organizations within your assigned book of business.
Serve as the main contact, aligning customer goals with our cyber resiliency solutions.
Regularly meet with customers to review progress, assess needs, and offer tailored cyber resilience guidance.
Drive customer outcomes and demonstrate the return on investment of Commvault's technologies.
Work closely with the wider account team to ensure positive customer outcomes.
Cyber Resiliency Strategy:
Serve as a reliable technical advisor, assisting customers in the sustained implementation and utilization of effective cyber resiliency strategies to safeguard their business. Ensure customer business objectives are aligned with their technical solutions.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, cyber threats, and emerging technologies to offer pertinent insights and recommendations to customers.
Facilitate technical discussions with customer teams to guarantee smooth integration and adoption of solutions that address their sophisticated requirements.
Customer Experience & Advocacy:
Provide exceptional customer experiences through proactive, personalized approach that fosters trust and loyalty.
Serve as an advocate for customers within the company, ensuring their feedback and needs are accurately represented in product development and service enhancements.
Enhance customer advocacy by transforming satisfied customers into case studies, references, and advocates of our solutions.
Act as a liaison between the customer and the broader Commvault ecosystem, including Customer Support, Product Management, Development, Marketing, and Leadership.
Establish relationships with partners and other vendors within the customer ecosystem.
Revenue and Sentiment Management:
Maintain high GRR by fostering strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional results.
Increase NRR through customer expansion efforts, promoting new products and driving revenue.
Monitor strategies with data and metrics, adjusting as needed to achieve retention and growth goals.
Excel at working with customers within a consumption model, ensuring successful onboarding and ongoing success.

Security: Knowledgeable in Cyber Resiliency, Data Management, and Security solutions and principles.
Cloud Native: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Data Center Technologies, including storage, networking, virtualization, operating systems, and enterprise data systems.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of various aspects of Information Technology: Hardware platforms (HP, HDS, EMC, IBM, Dell, etc.); WAN technologies and TCP/IP networking; Windows/Unix/Netware/Linux OS Platforms; Fiber-Channel (SAN) design methodology; business continuity, disaster recovery, and design methodology; backup and storage management products (Symantec, EMC, IBM); tape libraries and VTL Enterprise applications (Exchange, Oracle, SQL, etc.); virtualization and clustering. UNIX and Scripting platform would be a plus.
Travel Requirements: The role requires periodic travel within the designated region, which may include overnight stays.
