Training Specialist 1
Position Overview:
Responsibilities include developing, planning, coordinating, scheduling, delivering, and evaluating the training program for assigned program area(s).
Location:
Onsite in Erwin, Tennessee.
Your Day to Day as a Training Specialist 1:
* Perform task analysis and learn the tasks/jobs in the assigned program area(s).
* Learn the training process and instructional design concepts used by the NFS Training Department. Develop and build excellent presentation skills.
* Deliver/present training courses as assigned.
* Research and assess training needs. Plan and develop training programs in assigned program area(s).
* Coordinate course logistics including notification and scheduling.
* Work with Training Specialist II and III in the planning, selecting, and coordination of relevant programs and curriculum from external NFS sources.
* Assist in modifying/customizing these programs as necessary to most accurately meet NFS program area(s) needs.
* Assure that the training record of each trainee is timely and accurately reflected in the NFS Training and Qualification computer system.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Training.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. -- Science, Education, or related degree OR in lieu of B. S. degree 8 years' experience in training environment or in assigned program area (operations or safety).
Three to five years' experience in training environment or in assigned program area.
Experience with radiological safety training program requirements preferred.

Pay: $64,000 - $101,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000 and $101,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
