It will also be supporting 2-3 corrosion technicians and various contractors to make sure that all data is collected on time and to provide additional support with troubleshooting of CP issues or exceptions as they occur. This position will also assist with improving processes focusing on annual CP surveys, rectifiers, remote monitoring units (RMUs), ground beds, test stations, bonds, casings, close-interval-survey, close-interval-survey-response, CP isolation, AC mitigation and atmospheric corrosion visual inspections. Overnight travel as necessary but not likely to exceed 10-15%. Assets within your area of responsibility can be either DOT regulated or non-DOT or some combination of each. In some cases, you will also have assets regulated at the State or local level. The Corrosion Control Services department of Marathon Pipe Line LLC is responsible for cathodic protection systems on approximately 8,200 miles of underground pipelines, 84 terminals, and 8 refineries.
Responsibilities:
Assess the health of cathodic protection systems by analyzing annual surveys, rectifiers and bond data utilizing internal tracking tools. Implement testing plans to diagnose cathodic protection deficiencies. Work with Process Leaders to submit new project ideas to correct deficiencies or with field technicians on field adjustments.
1. Assist and support the corrosion technicians with ensuring on time completion of atmospheric corrosion visual inspections on DOT above grade assets, spans, and exposures.
2. Develop and maintain working knowledge of Marathon Pipe Line (MPL) Corrosion Control standards, Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP, formerly NACE) practices and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements.
3. Advance technical knowledge of corrosion subject matter through continuing education and industry certifications.
4. Collaborate with other Corrosion Specialists and Corrosion Control Process Leaders within the Corrosion Control Services team.
5. Provide oversight for third party contractors performing cathodic protection surveys and repairs to cathodic protection systems. Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive cost savings and efficiencies.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed to MPL corrosion technicians in assigned area. Use the scheduling process to prioritize and assign cathodic protection maintenance work to technicians and contractors as needed.
7. Identify new or emerging technologies that apply to cathodic protection systems. Develop and implement testing plans to demonstrate cost savings, efficiencies, or improvements in corrosion control adequacy.
8. Work with stakeholders within MPL, Terminals and Refining to provide corrosion control on MPC assets.
9. Assist with integration of corrosion data into inline inspection (ILI) tool runs. Participate in review of tool results.
10. Interact with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and other regulatory agencies during regulatory inspections of corrosion data, records, and field assets.
11. Assist Logistics and Storage Engineering (LSE) and Corrosion Control Services project leaders to advance cathodic protection projects. Activities include scope development, prioritization, management of change, and implementation support.
12. Coordinate or assist in the development of technical design basis for corrosion control components on Major (capital) Projects.
13. Assist with corrosion review, onboarding, and data integration for asset acquisitions.
14. Represent MPL corrosion control interests through industry involvement in AMPP, American Petroleum Institute (API) or Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI).
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.

85% Caseload Management: Provide academic and learning support to students in the form of individual and group learning strategy consultations by appointment or walk-in at the CAS office and other on-campus locations; create content, resources, and materials relevant to increasing student learning; support all on-going retention services and programs and assist with select programs or services as directed. Assistant Operations Managers / Lead Technicians are employees that have displayed the skills, leadership abilities and exceptional attitude who assist the Operations Manager facilitate production and some admin functions. All through the assistant does not directly manage the operations day to day activities, they are expected to have the skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities to support the Operations Manager whenever necessary.
Responsibilities
Be available by phone and email during scheduled duty hours / after hours.
Facilitate communication between Operations Manager and Technicians.
Maintain a company vehicle, tools, and consumables to a high standard.
Assist OM during location vehicle inspections / identify deficiencies and report to OM.
Assist OM in updating Fleet Vehicle Handbook sheets, SDS sheets, and Vehicle maintenance sheets from technicians.
Know, understand, and instruct location technicians in proper SLA completion.
Ensure job sites are clean, absent of safety violations, and inspection ready for OM.
Assist OM with annual employee evaluations for technicians.
Assist OM with continual training of technicians using the Ops. Manual and Training Portal. Along with ensuring technicians obtain and maintain WRT, ASD, and AMRT (mold only) certifications.
Assist OM with leading weekly meetings to facilitate training and safety for the location.
Assist OM with reviewing estimates, dispatching assignments, and responding to email correspondence in a timely manner.
Assist OM in Creating, maintaining, and participating in the on-call roster.
Monitor MICA Exchange daily to ensure projects are being properly handled by the technicians.
Complete water damage/mold remediation jobs to a high standard.
Maintain claims daily in the MICA app at a high standard.
Communicate daily with customers/Insurance personnel/other team members.
Lead by example by demonstrating:
good time management w handling existing/new assignments.
the proper way to follow Rytech safety protocols.
the proper way to wear PPE.
the proper way to scope water damage/mold remediation claims.
Qualifications
Mitigation/Remediation estimating and scoping experience
Highschool or GED
Two years of Mitigation/Remediation experience is preferred
Results-driven, activity-oriented, and supportive of aggressive targets.
Residential and or Commercial construction experience preferred.
Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, contents, or debris for extended time periods.
Must be able to pass a Respirator fit test/utilize PPE(Personal Protective Equipment)
Excellent customer service skills.
Willing to be on call and work in the field when the need arises. Able to perform physical work including common lifting and bending tasks in the industry.
Able to occasionally travel for CAT events or training.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, oral, and written skills
Must be computer literate and comfortable with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Dash, and MICA.
Certifications required (minimum of 90 days after onboarding), include: Water Restoration Technician (WRT)/Applied Structural Drying (ASD)/Anti-Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)/ Commercial drying specialist recommended

Corrosion Specialist This Corrosion Specialist position will be located in one of the following reporting locations - Pasadena, TX (Preferred) or Garyville, LA. This position will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, operational support, and improvement of all cathodic protection (CP) systems infrastructure within an assigned area of responsibility. It will also be supporting 2-3 corrosion technicians and various contractors to make sure that all data is collected on time and to provide additional support with troubleshooting of CP issues or exceptions as they occur. This position will also assist with improving processes focusing on annual CP surveys, rectifiers, remote monitoring units (RMUs), ground beds, test stations, bonds, casings, close-interval-survey, close-interval-survey-response, CP isolation, AC mitigation and atmospheric corrosion visual inspections. Overnight travel as necessary but not likely to exceed 10-15%. Assets within your area of responsibility can be either DOT regulated or non-DOT or some combination of each. In some cases, you will also have assets regulated at the State or local level. The Corrosion Control Services department of Marathon Pipe Line LLC is responsible for cathodic protection systems on approximately 8,200 miles of underground pipelines, 84 terminals, and 8 refineries.
Responsibilities:
Assess the health of cathodic protection systems by analyzing annual surveys, rectifiers and bond data utilizing internal tracking tools. Implement testing plans to diagnose cathodic protection deficiencies. Work with Process Leaders to submit new project ideas to correct deficiencies or with field technicians on field adjustments.
1. Assist and support the corrosion technicians with ensuring on time completion of atmospheric corrosion visual inspections on DOT above grade assets, spans, and exposures.
2. Develop and maintain working knowledge of Marathon Pipe Line (MPL) Corrosion Control standards, Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP, formerly NACE) practices and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements.
3. Advance technical knowledge of corrosion subject matter through continuing education and industry certifications.
4. Collaborate with other Corrosion Specialists and Corrosion Control Process Leaders within the Corrosion Control Services team.
5. Provide oversight for third party contractors performing cathodic protection surveys and repairs to cathodic protection systems. Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive cost savings and efficiencies.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed to MPL corrosion technicians in assigned area. Use the scheduling process to prioritize and assign cathodic protection maintenance work to technicians and contractors as needed.
7. Identify new or emerging technologies that apply to cathodic protection systems. Develop and implement testing plans to demonstrate cost savings, efficiencies, or improvements in corrosion control adequacy.
8. Work with stakeholders within MPL, Terminals and Refining to provide corrosion control on MPC assets.
9. Assist with integration of corrosion data into inline inspection (ILI) tool runs. Participate in review of tool results.
10. Interact with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and other regulatory agencies during regulatory inspections of corrosion data, records, and field assets.
11. Assist Logistics and Storage Engineering (LSE) and Corrosion Control Services project leaders to advance cathodic protection projects. Activities include scope development, prioritization, management of change, and implementation support.
12. Coordinate or assist in the development of technical design basis for corrosion control components on Major (capital) Projects.
13. Assist with corrosion review, onboarding, and data integration for asset acquisitions.
14. Represent MPL corrosion control interests through industry involvement in AMPP, American Petroleum Institute (API) or Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI).
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
* Minimum of a AMPP CP1 (Cathodic Protection Tester) certification required; AMPP CP2 (Cathodic Protection Technician) or greater preferred.
* 5-10 years of experience in the corrosion field preferred.
* A valid driver's license is required.
* Proficiency in basic computer skills.
* Previous pipeline experience is a plus.
