Duties and Responsibilities:
The Independent Living Manager directs and plans for the Social Development department's needs. Manages the activities of the Shift Supervisors and Dorm Coordinators to ensure that students' needs are met.
The Independent Living Manager is knowledgeable on National Job Corps New Vision goals, Region business plan, projects and initiatives ensuring the New Vision language is incorporated into the center goals.
Ensures that the center maintains the highest level of data integrity in all reporting of center statistics and metrics.
Provides monthly and weekly activity reports to the Social Development Director
Ensures that order and discipline are maintained in dormitories, while promoting self-discipline and an awareness of others.
Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, emotional trauma, arrest, trouble at home and other traumatic experiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Four years' related experience working with at risk-youth; two of which must be in a managerial capacity preferred.
Prefer Job Corps experience.
Must possess knowledge of computers and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred .
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Job Description
The Training Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing organizational excellence by designing, creating, implementing, and managing a comprehensive technical training program. RESPONSIBILITIES
Create engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and hands-on exercises that align with organizational goals and address the specific technical skills and knowledge required, ensuring they are up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Deliver technical training sessions through various formats, such as instructor-led training, virtual classrooms, webinars, and workshops, ensuring participants grasp complex concepts and practical applications.
Conduct assessments to identify the training needs of employees and teams, collaborating with stakeholders to understand technical skill gaps and learning requirements.
Develop and implement evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs, collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve content and delivery methods.
Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize and track training initiatives, managing course enrollment, tracking participant progress, and reporting requirements.
Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and site training representatives (STRs) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content, incorporating real-world examples and case studies.
Utilize instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and instructional technologies to design and develop high-quality learning materials, including online courses, e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and assessments.
Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and adult learning. Identify and recommend innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5+ years of mission critical environment experience
Minimum 1+ year of Learning Management System experience
Experience with Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe Suite products is a plus
Experience with instructional learning methodologies is a plus
Train the trainer certification a plus
