Home is comfortable, safe and free from hazards. J. Attends Quarterly Psychotropic Medication Review at least quarterly or as needed. K. Collaborates with individuals served to create a weekly menu. Ensures that groceries and house supplies are purchased weekly in accordance with the menu and there is ample product/choice for individuals served. L. Provides on-call support to staff regarding house scheduling/leave issues and safety or operational issues. II. Staff Development: A. Screens and interviews staff in respect to the needs of the clients served. Assists HR with obtaining necessary information and ensuring completion of new-hire training for staff with AD or designee. Correct hazard/deficiencies or completes a Maintenance/Operation Work order or submits written report to supervisor outlining deficiencies by end of shift. B. Uses appropriate body mechanics to lift, move and position individuals in residential and supported living. Also provides guidance for exercise and physical care for the individuals served. C. Conducts evacuation drills, both fire (quarterly for CTH-II and annually for SLP/CTH-I) and severe weather (annually). Records results of each drill and corrects any findings. D. Conducts monthly inspections of all safety equipment, to include: first aid kits, smoke detectors, emergency lights, emergency food supplies, flashlights, carbon monoxide detector and security system. Ensure emergency phone numbers are posted by any phone. E. Follow program plan for meeting all potential emergencies and disasters, such as medical, fire, severe weather and missing persons. Report any occurrence to Area Director. F. Notifies Medical Service Coord/Area Director of all medical emergencies as outlined by policies and procedures. G. Checks to ensure that all flammable materials or household supplies are clearly labeled, properly stored and safeguarded. H. Checks to ensure that food is protected from contamination and spoilage. Checks freezer and refrigerator to ensure that food is properly dated, wrapped and/or covered. Corrects any problem and reports to AD for further corrective action. I. Checks to ensure all appliances, exhaust hood utensils and cooking/work surfaces are in good working condition. Complete Work Order to correct any issue. J. Ensures the appropriate disposal of garbage, daily sanitizing of trash containers and lids, hauling off of unnecessary items to prevent hazard within or around the home. K. Checks plasticware, chinaware, glassware or other similar items for ships or cracks. Places in a box to be picked up and removed from inventory in accordance with policy/procedure of UCP Residential Services. IV. Record Keeping Responsibilities: A. Monitors expenditures on a routine basis, dependent on the individuals' needs, to ensure funds are properly planned for, managed and accounted for on the Consumer Statement of Account, in accordance with licensing standards and UCP policy/procedure. B. Ensures all client choices are provided and personal belongings are kept safe and available as well as logged completely on Personal Property Inventories as required by DDSN standards. C. Reviews quarterly CFA statements with the individual and/or family/legal guardian, obtaining signatures from all necessary parties per DDSN standards. D. Monitors and maintains all house petty cash, receipts and monthly reconciliations while staying within the approved annual budget. E. Ensures menus are posted on a weekly basis, in accordance with client preferences and within guidelines of any dietary restrictions. F. All Credit card purchases are logged, documented and monitored to ensure limits are within house budget. Distributions are turned in monthly and discrepancies are investigated and findings submitted to AD. G. Maintains records in the home to meet local, state and federal guidelines. H. Makes client related entries in daily logs that are legible, dated, authenticated by signature and positions, in ink and without use of symbols or abbreviations. I. Records contacts with client's family or guardian. J. Maintains appropriate documentation relating to health, safety and infection control. K. Maintains records of van log data sheets and monitors to ensure they are completed correctly by all staff. V. Compliance: A. Complies with the organization policies and procedures governing the use of behavior management programs for controlling maladaptive or problem behavior. B. Complies with policies/procedures to ensure that confidentiality requirements are upheld. C.
